GS 1000 G filter box, this absurd creature.

I purchased the tires they describe for the GS1000, naively at the beginning I thought they were more standard, in fact they arrived and they are straight, not off-centre. It seems that for the G with the BS34SS mikuni they are impossible to find, even the codes cannot be found and all the ones...

GS 1000 G filter box, this absurd creature.

After reassembling the filter box with the tires for the GL model and sealing it with silicone, all acceleration problems are gone, it goes smoothly under acceleration. At the start the first piston took a long time to heat up, then it went away. I disassembled and restored the pipettes, they...

    GS1000G BS34SS with a bit of whim

Dear, you were right, it all depended on the seal of the rubber manifolds, the ones I have are not yours and to put them on I had to use silicone, it seems that your OEMs cannot be found online. In acceleration it is perfect, minimum 1200. The only thing I noticed is the first piston, it takes a...

GS 1000 G filter box, this absurd creature.

I think there is a bit of confusion around, how can the codes on the various sites be identical between the GL and the G, the OEM cone I mounted has the code 13882-45050 and on the opposite side GS1000GL. How do they have the same connections with two sets of different carburettors: the GL...

GS 1000 G filter box, this absurd creature.

hi, I have a second air box worse than the one below, everything seems to be fine, the point is below, I think it's standard for the GS1000G. However, the measurement doesn't add up, that cm is always missing. I think the tires are not his, besides the code says GS1000GL and it is a different...

GS 1000 G filter box, this absurd creature.

I can try endlessly but there is 1 cm missing here. I believe that at this point the two side tires are not the correct ones, for now I have left them out of their seats and I put silicone in the two side ones. I want to take a ride before senile dementia

    GS1000G BS34SS with a bit of whim

SkiDooFritz, I opened a specific tread and got lots of advice on the correct position of the rubber cones. Yes, the fittings are outside the seat and it is certain that they get air. I sincerely hope this is the problem of everything and not the beginning of a series, but I want to be...

GS 1000 G filter box, this absurd creature.

it's only due to the breakage of having disassembled it a thousand times, the original has its charm and is built to last over time.

GS 1000 G filter box, this absurd creature.

I didn't remember having a photo before assembly, but the mark on the metal cannot be seen and it seems to be inserted on the opposite side, it arrived assembled and I think I left it like that, tomorrow I'll dismantle it for the 1001st time and I'll keep your tips and help secret Let's see if I...

Are they compatible?, but if I have to make a mess, then I put 4 cone filters or similar systems and bye air box

GS 1000 G filter box, this absurd creature.

Super!!! great 2BRacing they are! I had noticed these dots, initially I thought about rubber moulding, then I tried above and below, I looked for a reference on the box but I don't remember finding it and I abandoned the initial idea. So I put them as they went. Now if I can I'll try to rotate...

GS 1000 G filter box, this absurd creature.

in my opinion they should be like this, with the two sides very decentralized to fit well, but mine seem almost straight, too bad these are for FZ110

GS 1000 G filter box, this absurd creature.

I have a doubt that the tires are not for the 1980 model with the Mikuni BS34SS but for the previous models, I will try to match the protuberances with the notches on the box and see if I can fit them in, however LH and RH are ok but which way does it go considered, front view of carburetor or...

    GS 1000 G - It mumbles from 3000 to 4000 rpm

Hi Rob, "Throttle response is good but there is a small amount of lean surge at steady-state cruising speeds and low throttle openings. It's feels as though the carb pistons are undecided as to where, exactly, they want to position themselves. At higher road speeds, during hard riding, or in the...

    GS 1000 G - It mumbles from 3000 to 4000 rpm

Ciao Big T The snorkel is a "rubber" tube on the back of the airbox Someone can chime in if the G has one At the back of the air box there is a rubber that conveys the air directly from the front to the hole in the back, it was glued and it wasn't in good shape! at the top a tube for recovering...

GS 1000 G filter box, this absurd creature.

Removing the filter and carburettors is child's play, reassembling everything is not. The carburetors don't require much effort and are easy to reassemble, but the airbox is a puzzle I haven't been able to figure out. I have two OEM ones and the latter is like new, with soft and intact cones, on...

    GS1000G BS34SS with a bit of whim

SkiDooFritz, thanks for your tips. I have two OEM filter boxes, one with new tires and one in worse condition, every time I try to refit the rubber manifolds they are not aligned and do not fit, they are off-centre I know but still the difficulty in inserting them into the air intakes of the...

    GS 1000 G - It mumbles from 3000 to 4000 rpm

I didn't know this, thanks. I've had a few bikes and this behavior isn't normal. If it drowns and you're cornering at 2000/3000 rpm and you open the throttle but it doesn't respond well, it's painful. I think it's a setup of the fuel screws, but problems not related to carburetion can also come...

    GS 1000 G - It mumbles from 3000 to 4000 rpm

I don't think that in 1980 the bikes were modified to comply with any pollution restrictions, but maybe I'm wrong and in any case it shouldn't have gaps during smooth acceleration. I've reached the point that when accelerating it drowns at low revs and then shoots up like a damn. Another thing I...

    GS1000G BS34SS with a bit of whim

Hi guys, my gs1000g 20000km just doesn't want to get back to perfection. Bs34ss dismantled and cleaned, replaced the float shafts, adjusted to 22.4, jets disassembled and cleaned, except the cylinder with the membrane and the pin which seem ok, replaced the float valves. I reassemble everything...
