I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

    The New "Z" Cage...

Most experts agree as opposed to 20 years ago most of the performance cars of today are in fact "maxed" out as far as efficient hp. Yes there is gains to ge had but they are minimal, and you will need sophisticated piggyback ECU tuners to fully reap the benifits. I have some experience with...

    82 GPz750 shock spring removal?

I remember way back attempting to dissasemble my '82 1100E shocks. Technically they were "non serviceable" however I did get them apart as I wanted to restore the paint but upon reassembly it got very tricky getting the dampening adjusters timed and assembled correctly. In hindsight I should...

Just a Little Project (CB250 little)

Just a pre warning you might have a very poor running engine using that pod filter. Many times the Mikuni CV carbs need a certain amount of vacuum signal around the inlet venturi to run correctly. Some guys love pods, other such as myself hate them.

    84 GPz750, looks like a disaster?

I didn't realize it was an ebay link from my phone, That claim of <5K i'm calling BS. I bought local a complete non running ZX1100 parts bike for $500 , then sold the cyl head alone for $275 and have used a ton of parts for my current running bike, so parts GPz bikes pay for themselves in short...

Just a Little Project (CB250 little)

I bought my wife a used rough GZ250 and after about $500 invested and a LOT of cleaning and polishing the GZ looks fantastic. They have been making the CB250 for a long time which means Ebay parts are plentiful. I found a mint engine side cover to replace my wife's road rashed one for $30.

82 GPz for $1700, decent price?

I'm no suspension expert and i'm not sure if stiffer springs will help. The GPZ experts say to first ditch the anti-dive units and the forks will perform better but I really want to preserve my bikes OEM status so im trying to resist mods.

82 GPz for $1700, decent price?

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of mid priced options for my '84 monoshocker. I almost pulled the trigger on having a Hagon custom built but I got cold feet after the $700 price tag. I actually can live with the OEM rear as I only weigh 160 , but the front forks are absolutely garbage they...

82 GPz for $1700, decent price?

Word of caution, Maier and Airtech are NOT anywhere near OEM fit and quality. They are really "race" only bodywork that you can make work for oem substutute but I found that the aftermarket stuff fits up to oem mated components VERY poorly. I bought an Airtech upper cowling for my GSXR and the...

82 GPz for $1700, decent price?

I have a spare cowling your welcome to it N/C, just throw me a few bucks for shipping. It's been repainted late 80's road racing hot pink , but it's solid.. I can also take detailed pics of the fairing bracket, I think I have a spare bracket as well. I've got an attic FULL of spares for the GPz...

What to do about the 82GPz750's swing arm sleeve

Most of the metric bike bearings will be NTN or Koyo. You should be able to find a Timken or SKF equivilant. I've been able to identify metric needle bearing by the universal p/n which should be on the edge of the bearing, bring that number to Napa Auto and they can usually cross it over. Be...

    Intruder 1500 Blue Headers

Are you running aftermarket pipes and/or a performance air filter ? If yes hopefully the p/o also updated the jetting (if the bike is carbed). My Harley does the same thing my inner pipes are slightly blued right at the cyl exit, it's pretty common. When I worked for Kawi, we would always advise...

What to do about the 82GPz750's swing arm sleeve

When I relube the s/a bearings in my motocross bikes I will mix about 80% Mobil 1 syn grease and 20% antisieze. Been doing this for the past 20 years of racing. The 80/20 mix makes for a super slick and moisture impervious lube that lasts a LONG time. I did this on both my GPz , and my GSXR. I...

82 GPz for $1700, decent price?

Will do, Vermont Rally and probably the GPz are on the attend radar. Problem is with the GSXR is i can only ride for about 100 miles max and my legs and arms are JUNK. The 1st gen GSXR tucked the pegs up pretty high and a low "sit in" type seating position. I will be closely watching the NE...

    '89 GSXR nearing completion.

Looks OUTSTANDING ! Did you perform an oem resto ? Here's a pic of my restored 1st gen 750. Lot of money and sweat invested but it came out awesome. My 750 is a weekly driver as well, I don't spend all that money on garage queens ! You may remember me back several years ago, not sure if you saw...

82 GPz for $1700, decent price?

A good friend of mine whom owned a Kawi dealer for over 30 years was who sold my my Gpz 11. He also owned a pristine 82 R1 Lawson , and an 83 R2 superbike replica. He unfortunately hit financial hardships and had to sell both bikes a few years ago.

82 GPz for $1700, decent price?

I have to agree with the GPz tranny's feeling very "notchy" with the shifts. My '82 GS1100E shifted way smoother. I don't know if it's got anything to do with the fact that the 83-84 GPz's came with a special HD tranny or not. Kawi built the GPZ's was winning at the drag strip as a primary focus.
