A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

how do I get a title for a title-less Bike?

each state is different. In NJ, you need to have the "Abandoned vehicle" on your property for ...6 mos? a year? before starting paperwork. call your DMV. I've found the workers on phone are a bit more pleasant than the witches behind the counter. Your mileage may vary :-)

    New toy- KZ1000 Police

Spent some more time, between rain drops... Tank and fender paint are great. A little wax goes a long way. Most chrome is coming back to life. Tank has no fuel gauge? Is valve adjust procedure same as GS but with different diameter shims? Suggestions on exhaust pipe wax / cleaner / treatment?

    New toy- KZ1000 Police

I've had 5 minutes to spend on it: 12900 miles. Was a Matawan NJ police bike. ( I grew up 5 miles from there ) Tires go flat in 2 days. Calipers and M/C are all shot. "Air cleaner rack" in bag, carbs will have to be cleaned. ( of course ) Chrome is a little rough, but OK from 20 feet. Pipes...

    How to remove master link?

Chuck, someone out there has my Dad's 75 CB750 with engine case damage because the master was installed the way you think is correct. Please don't do it. It makes it a lot easier for the oval clip to get popped off. Then BANG, you stuff half of your chain into your left case. Luckily, it was...

    Why carb leaking?

some bikes have fuel pumps that aren't needed at all, until you run down to the last 1/4 tank, then gravity needs a little help to maintain flow rate into bowls. Is tank full? That's why it's flowing even with power... gravity is taking over. As usual, Steve is on top of it :-)

Thoughts on a 1977 Yamaha XS 750 with 1100 miles?

So I finally got to be the Test Pilot today! The shaft jacking is... interesting. Pretty good torque. It rides like a new bike, from 1977. I am not impressed. The whole thing feels kinda " cheap and plastic-y " at low speed. I dare not go over 40 with 40 yr old tires, so I can't comment on...
