If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

what did you wrench on today??

I’ve got an onboard volt meter on the GS and it’s been reading low, 13.2-13.5. I took a look at the 3 legs coming from the stator and sure enough 2 of the male/female connectors looked brown/burnt. After peeling off the connectors, the wire was burnt and brittle. Cut back the brittle wire and...

    Front master cylinder replacement

If you’re still looking for options. I put my 2004 SV650N MC on my ‘79 850. The N model incorporates the mirror attachment if that makes sense. Not sure if your bike uses the remote reservoir or not. If it does then the Sv S model would work.

    Looking for a smaller battery!

I picked up a Full Spectrum Lithium battery for my race bike. Yes it’s light and more importantly in my situation very compact. Went with an aftermarket rear subframe with only enough space for such a size. CCA’s is 210 and more than enough to spin the SV650 over and if I had to guess has more...

    1981 GS850G Front Master Cylinder

I’ve got my ‘04 SV650N MC on my ‘79 850. I couldn’t ask for anything better. A question for OP.....do you want a remote reservoir or one that is built into the MC? I used my N model SV MC because that MC has the reservoir built into the MC with the mirror mount. The S SV has a remote reservoir...

    Key West new guy!

I had a similar issue when I first got my '79. Put the petcock on prime and ride it like that but make sure to shut it off IF it stops running. This may narrow your issues down to a faulty petcock. I've been going to KW for the last 8-10 years so I'll have to look you up the next time down.
