    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Cycleorings has ceased operation

Robert...I am very sorry to hear this. Take care of yourself first, don't worry about us. Glad you have a good team.

Yes, please do take care of yourself Robert Barr. I'm glad to hear you have a wonderful team who is taking care of you.

Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I was my mother's primary care giver when she received a similar diagnosis. All I can say is that the horror stories people were telling me didn't come true. I hope you have the same luck.

I echo the above Robert. Hope the docs get you cleared up. I am anxiously waiting on the CV and VM info. I will make a file in my documents with the numbers. And i also thank you for all youve done for me and my customers over the years. My peayers for you my friend.

Sorry to hear about the diagnosis, Robert.
Your health is much more important than our motorcycling needs.

As a multiple time purchaser, a huge thank you.

Same from me Robert. So sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Do take care of yourself first and foremost.

Best wishes for moving forward and hope you get the best medical care possible.

Robert…..I appreciate you and everything you’ve done for us all. You’ve given me the ability to ride my GS850 with a smile. Thank You!

Robert, very best of luck with the difficult battle. It sounds like you are in good hands. Many of us , including myself, have beat it at least once.

Robert, your health is the only important thing.
I wish you all the best and hope for your speedy recovery.

Robert, best of luck.

Just to add, you're one of the guys enabling me to discover, and follow my passion of wrenching on my bikes. Halfway around the globe, on top of that.

Still have the original envelope somewhere.

On behalf of all us UK members, thankyou for helping us out as well, and wish you all the best Robert.

The timing was medically necessary; I have acquired a case of Stage III -x (TBD) lung cancer, with a tumor slightly larger than a league baseball in my upper right lung. It's encroaching on some vital pulmonary passages, causing bouts of nonstop coughing. I've been using what little traces of energy the cancer leaves me to get myself from one exam to another, and sometimes even to sleep. My oncology team are all serious professionals, the kind of physicians who operate on much higher octane than mere mortals, so I feel confident that I have half a prayer of being around for a while.

Soon I'll post up all the sizes. I have to gather the info for the CV kits, the standard VM, the oddball 450 (80 - 82) and a few odds and ends -- flatslides, etc. Probably by this weekend. Perhaps we can ask Frank to make a sticky out of the post.

I have enough material to prepare quite a few kits for anyone patient enough to wait. I also have plenty of 38mm and 40mm intakes, as well as some 28's and 30's. A nice collection of Viton. This would make a good starter kit for anyone who wants to take over my operation. I'd be willing to toss in the Cycleorings.com webpage, so the new owner would have an existing customer base.

In any case, there's no abrupt shortage of supplies. There will be continuity. The only thing I can't accomodate are impatient people.

Robert,

Thank you for your reply. As I said in my PM to you, I suspected you had good reason for discontinuing the website. I'm sorry to hear the reason is cancer! Thank you for all you've done and your willingness to continue to help us despite your situation. Your health is most important, so please take care of that first and foremost. We will keep you in our prayers!

Very sorry to hear this news, Robert. However with today's medical techniques and expert specialists, I am sure you are going to beat this thing.

Best wishes and prayers from another global member you have assisted!

I have relied heavily on Robert's product, thanks for supplying such necessary and important components that make all the difference to our bikes.
Sorry to hear you're having health difficulties, get over it soon.

Please take care of yourself Robert, and keep your GS family posted as you can!

If there's anything I or the other locals and semi-locals can do, please let us know and we'll come running.

If you'd like to discuss the future of your circular stock and information, please feel free to get in touch via email, PM, carrier pigeon, etc. I think the Midwest GS Mafia could figure something out.
