A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Starter cranking slowly

Take your battery to an auto parts store and have them test it. The starter draws the most battery current of anything on the bike. It likely has enough power to run the lights, etc. but not the starter! I'm betting your battery is on the way out, since it starts fine when you jump it!

Maybe the most "cobbled-together" bike I have ever purchased!

It's LOUD! The pipe that's on it has the end cap drilled out, so it rattles windows in the neighborhood when I start it! That pipe needs a baffle badly!

    Cloudy sight glass

I've never used Seafoam, but.......I have used automatic transmission fluid. The inside of a transmission has to be really clean for it to work properly, so tranny fluid has a lot of detergent in it. I usually add about a half pint of transmission fluid and ride the bike for 15-20 minutes...

Maybe the most "cobbled-together" bike I have ever purchased!

Starting to get the "black" off of this bike! :D Actually rode it up the street for the first time today. Still a long way to go to get it where I want it, but it's a long time until spring!

    1982 Suzuki GS750T - Will it fit?

Before you install the new pipes you may want to check out if your bike is running lean? I believe pipes that are that blue/purple normally indicate a lean (aka hot) running bike.

Pit Replica seat covers / tarriffs?

Wondering if anyone has purchased one of these seat covers off of Ebay since the tariffs went into effect? (I AM NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR POLITICAL THOUGHTS ON THE TARIFFS!) I have heard stories of some carriers up charging the customers for the tariffs, (ie: adding additional charges such as...

    81 GS1100E brake hoses.

Looks to me like that is the front brake line kit only. Looks like the complete set is $149, which isn't too bad I guess.

    81 GS1100E brake hoses.

Apex Brakes. Raymond Chan Email: raymond@apexbrakes.com Just email him with the year and model of the bike, how many hoses you want, and what color hose and fittings you want. My last set for a '78 GS1000 was $138 shipped for all 4 lines. I've used them on 7-8 bikes and always got a good...

Maybe the most "cobbled-together" bike I have ever purchased!

Well now........this just keeps getting better and better! After cleaning up some wiring today I thought, "why not check the timing?" Imagine my surprise when I removed the dyna ignition plate and found this! So......I'm looking for a timing plate #33371-45001, used on 27 different bikes from...

82 GS1100L for sale in Southern Oregon

I'm usually a few fries short of a happy meal, but I don't understand the poll. Yes or No on what? Would you buy it? Would you ride it? Looks like a For Sale ad that is in the wrong place to me. If it is, a price would help. Oh well, off to Mickey D's for more fries!:p

If I remember correctly that reservoir is NLA, so be careful with it!

I always just email Raymond. Normally get a response the next day with pricing and an offer to send a paypal invoice. I've purchased probably 6-7 sets from him without any issues.
