A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    No title GS

I decided I won't chase titles. It will be stripped to the frame parted and then cut up. Getting it tomorrow and as far as I know it's complete has stock black exhaust and was laying on its right side for a while. Or I might decide I'm too lazy to do anything on it and just sell it as is. Next...

New GT 750 killed by weather

In 1974 I was in the Air Force at Charleston S.C. Had a new GT 750 water buffalo that I just got and had maybe 500 miles on. On the way home from the base I was on a two lane small hiway when I got hit by a massive thunderstorm. They usually happen daily in the summer and this was the first time...

Finding a Weaker Carb Return Spring

I had the same problem on two of my then new bikes,74 GT 750 and 78 GS 1000. On both I found a place on the carb rack to put a small bracket and hardware store spring configured to open the throttle. I sized the spring so It would assist opening and counter some of the factory stiffness. A...

    oil level window

On my 83 1100E always has a golden look to it and appears over full all the time. When I drain it still shows the same thing with no oil apparently draining. Yet I have the correct amount in it. No dipstick of course but if I stick a wire all the way in I get maybe 1/8" of oil on it. Any ideas?

Disband the pipes and pods effort?

Wind noise is a lot of it and somewhere online recently I saw a product that is some sort of noise reducing filler between your helmet and body. I?ll look that up today.

Frame respray myself OR pro shot blast / powder coat

I?ve always used spray can epoxy from the local grocery store. Might cost 12 to 20 to do a frame. Unless your frame is heavily chipped or rusted you can scotchbrite scuff it and shoot it. Let it dry in the sun and you?ll see great results. Smaller parts that are not dimensional or have a...

Disband the pipes and pods effort?

In late 83 I took off the black pipes and airbox and did pods and 4to1. A Yosh at that time. Now at 67yo I?m thinking about going back to original. Strictly because of noise. I wear earplugs now and it helps some. So here?s my dilemma, I figure out a way to quiet down the Vance and Hines and pods...
