DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Richard Hammond’s Motorcycle collection

All fine and well, but he was incorrect on several points. Not sure why that doesn't matter among motorheads. I always care about accuracy.

    Richard Hammond’s Motorcycle collection

I don't think so, and he was incorrect about sub-literbikes as well. He stated, "This was the end of the capacity race," not "This was the end of the race replica capacity race." And even if he was making that claim, the fact that he then wanders over to Ducatis should remind us that 1000 cc...

    C/L Nice 1992 FJ1200 $2K Bay Area

One of my favorite motors ever. I had an XS1100 and loved that beast. The FJ was better in every way by miles.

    Richard Hammond’s Motorcycle collection

Hammond is an aficionado, but his bit on the GSX-R1100 was pretty incorrect on both ends of its reasoning. Not only were very sporting 600s (and 750s) around when that Gixxer came out, I4 motors continued to grow (cf., Hayabusa, ZX-14, etc.) long afterward.

Riding & the effect on the mind.

Amen. Worst motorcycle accident I was in was after an argument with my wife. Got on my FZ1 and proceeded to merge onto the freeway at 100+ only to discover traffic was gridlocked due to another accident, to which I added my own sudden get-off.

82 Kat looks tired but price dropping, now $3,3300 SoCal (not mine)

They are definitely distinctive bikes, and that is undoubtedly the key to their appeal.

Is there such a thing as a cheap Beemer?

    I truly miss those times.

    FortNine Lane filtering

This, exactly. Even though the law allows for filtering to the front when traffic is slowing to under 15 mph, I generally wait until all the stopping is done before moving to the front.

    1985 Kawasaki GPz750 needs refresh

So weird: The article shows up correctly, but the search topic in my search bar shows "Honda VF700 Magna."

    RIP Robert Redford

Several months later, following the election, Eastwood revealed to CNBC anchor Becky Quick that his "empty chair" skit had been inspired by a Neil Diamond song ("I Am... I Said") that had come over the radio in his Tampa hotel room and that included a lyric about an empty chair not hearing the...

    RIP Robert Redford

Dunno, Garth. I think Eastwood is far deeper and more intelligent than you give him credit for. Read up on his political views, actions and life.

    RIP Robert Redford

I don't think the fact that he is a Republican is evidence of idiocy. Hell, I'd vote for Arnold if he were able to run.
  13. GS1150Pilot

    RIP Robert Redford

I used to wonder why Eastwood never ran for president.

    FortNine Lane filtering

I ride aggressively here in AZ. Filter to the front of the lane, staying near center in the leftmost lane as I get to the front. Leave stoplights quickly.
  15. GS1150Pilot

    FortNine Lane filtering

I lane filter every day. When I ride to California, I lane split.
  16. GS1150Pilot

    RIP Robert Redford

A national treasure on all accounts.

Katman Is Back On Two Wheels

So glad you came away from that alive and that you are back on two wheels (and on a monster new bike)! Cheers!

    FortNine Lane filtering

No, we don't, Rob. There is a distinct difference between filtering and splitting. Take it from someone who lives in a state where one is legal and the other isn't.

Lots of art in those, disturbing results, though.

Concerts that mark major moments in our lives

Just got home from L.A., where I attended the Oasis show on Saturday. Sold out two nights in a row, 89,000 people each night. The energy was amazing, the band was in peak form, the music magical.
