I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Stainless Steel Bolt broken off in carb need help to remove.

You know what? Nevermind. Look, I don't know the other guys, but I know Ray personally. And I consider him a good friend. You could have come over to my house, I have a small machine shop in the garage, & I would have been happy to machine that screw out for nothing. But now....not a chance. Sorry.

Stainless Steel Bolt broken off in carb need help to remove.

If the screw has galled in the aluminum carb body, it needs to be machined out. Call up Q&E on Kraemer. I'm sure they can fix you up. (714)630-5720

Stainless Steel Bolt broken off in carb need help to remove.

Allright, you're a machinist, so you should be able to get it. (And if you're careful, you won't even have to strip the rack) Set up the carbs on a milling machine & center the spindle over the broken screw. If your eyes are good, you can get it within .005-.010 thou. Start with a .125"...

Engine Guard Fitting - frame type

I seem to remember someone had one on their bike. But strangely, the front fender got caught on it. Oops, can't turn the bars..

    rear wheel stand.... ??????

You'll still need to hold the bike upright while putting it on the rear stand. But you can balance the bike with one hand, from the back. Align the stand with the other hand. Once you get it roughly positioned, lever up the rear & Bob's your uncle.

I think it's the fact that you pipes are blue all the way back to the collector.

    Beer can - Cam caps

Ahh, I thought they looked awfully nice for lost foam. I see now you are doing it the proper way. Don't get me wrong, the foam molding has it's place & uses. But good ramming yields a better result!

    Oil Cooler Addition

Unbolted the oil cooler to take some unobstructed photos of the bracket. I machined a shallow pocket on the backside to clear the strap welded to the frame. It is pretty thin in that area. Also, if you notice, the extra holes next to the bolts that mount the bracket to the frame. I had...

    Beer can - Cam caps

Nice. Are you using lost wax, or lost foam for your molds? It would be cool to see some photos of your process.

    Oil Cooler Addition

Some photos of an 1150 oil cooler on my 1100ES. 1100 frame showing the horn mounting holes, & the small strap welded to the cross brace. This is to stop the horn brackets from twisting when they are bolted on. BUT, this is where you need to mount the cooler, so the horns need to be relocated...

    Updgardinr 1100ES Brakes

Thanks everyone:) Now, some more photos....... First I bolted the two halves together & gripped them in the lathe. Boring the ID. Internal groove. Taa Daa! Next I machined a spud to flip the parts & machine the second side. Dust seal groove. There you have it. Clamps for the fork brace...

    Carbtune and Sync Questions

Adjust the idle up to 2000-2500 RPM with the adjuster screw when doing the actual sync. After you are done, adjust idle back down to factory spec. Floats heights set properly?

    Updgardinr 1100ES Brakes

On to the Fork Brace On to the Fork Brace A few more fun photos. Enjoy. I forgot my camera when I machined the main clamp, but this is how they turned out. Counter boring & drilling the bolt holes. Sawing the clamp in half. Mostly done. After I tap the holes, I'll bolt the halves...

Test fitting Test fitting A bit overkill, perhaps, but it makes me feel better. Pretty happy with how they turned out. (At least the second time. Sometimes you gotta start cutting to see how it all goes together) I neglected to take photos while I was making these, but oh well. And yes, I...
