DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi Wayne, Nice to hear of a couple of Kats coming back to life. I don't have a spare connector or harness for you, but I checked with some parts houses and neither are available through Suzuki anymore. Amazing how many parts are still available through Suzuki. You might get lucky searching...

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Finally made it out for the first real ride of the season, myself and 4 long time riding mates. Left the house at 8 am on the ES, beautiful, warm sunny summer day. Met up at 9 at a convenient coffee shop, and back on the road at 9:30. Rode out about 75 miles to connect to a short stretch of...

How rare is my 1976 GS750?

You should have told him the VIN wasn't the engine number, but the chassis number. That was like 10764.... so #764 off the line....wonder what the title says?

    83 GSX1100ES, "worn-out-edition"

Great Job so far!! You have a pretty rare bike, especially in the black, gold and red. I have always wanted an ES in that paint scheme, but alas, we were not destined to get them here.... Please, keep the paint scheme - it'll always bring more money being stock than whatever your favorite...

    goldwing versus 850

Great to read through this thread. Have you guys ever read the magazine Road Rider? You can find them for sale in ebay, under magazines. I bought the 12 issues for 1982 and read through them - great reviews of bikes and how they held up on the "rode test". Reviews of bates luggage, motorcycle...

    im torn between 2 motorcycles

I had a Hodaka 100 first, then a Honda 350CL. The Honda was nowhere near as easy as the Hodaka in the off road category, but it was a really fun bike. I took the Honda on weekend trips of 500 - 1,000 miles. Then I got a Honda 450CB, really a huge difference. Those weekend trips were a lot...

S100 engine brightener for black engine cases.

I've heard the S100 CLEANER can actually strip the black paint off your engine if you use it often - anyone else hear that? Nice to hear the "brightener" works!

    Beware SuzukiAustralia.com

Pete, I probably have 3 or 4 sets of used Kat clocks in the garage collecting dust. I also have a 140mph (83 Kat) new in the box. They'd be in miles per hour, but you could change the face plate if you wanted. If you need one (or your mate needs one) let me know. Scott

1150 Kat.. time for engine mods... advise requested!!

The difference in the VIN is in the middle JS1GU73AxC210xxxx vs D210 (82 is C210, 83 is D210xxxx). Also, the brake pedal is aluminum in 83, metal in 82.

1150 Kat.. time for engine mods... advise requested!!

1150 Kat 1150 Kat Depending on what you do to the engine in terms of airflow, you should know that original 84/85 1150 black chrome exhaust pipes will mount and align perfectly on your stock Kat frame. To the untrained eye, it'd look stock. ;)
