A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

2025 World Series - Dodgers and Blue Jays

At least at cricket you can wander around, get a decent beer, pie or pasty or something without missing anything as it’s SO slow… Baseball is a different animal! in essence I agree though, I wouldn’t choose to go to either!

My local team… lots of excitement here in LA I’m sure but I struggle to be interested in Baseball. Too slow for me!

    Richard Hammond’s Motorcycle collection

I don’t care what he said really… I’m jealous every which way :-\\\  I guess this piece is mostly for the cage enthusiasts (or the crossover ones of which I’m a member so it doesn’t matter too much if he’s 100% correct or not). I think what he was trying to say was that was...

Definitely Top Gear and the "Grand Tour" as well as all the spin-off shows. I expect Drivetribe makes a decent amount nowadays too.... Yeah it's strange listening to someone pronounce the alphabet properly innit.... :p;)

    1978 GS750 tires & suspension advice / input

Shinko 805’s work great if you might occasionally hit gravel. They are very competent on the road too in my opinion and price is good. 15w sounds quite high unless you’re quite porky…. Racetech emulators make a difference if you can afford it.

I’m envious of those guys too…. I’ve still got some time to hit 50 with my first kid about to hit college in a year or so and another to go as well. Be a while before I get there! I’m glad he’s got all his stuff back! Well done Steve! :)

    gs650e Stator + R/R issue

Seems like you have a short somewhere in that circuit. As you’ve disconnected the wires that go to headlight switch (if you have it) then perhaps you’ve been into that hand control and pinched a wire or something? otherwise look for frayed wires in the headlight bucket and also broken wires at...

Well done Rich... Are you retired by any chance?? ;):p:cool: If not I'm even more impressed! :D Chuck - If you let me know how much it was I will paypal you the money for shipping - happy to do so. I have a trip to the UK coming up next Summer, if we're looking for a way for him to cross the...

    Oil contamination

I'd come here to ask how long since it's been run & to suggest condensation could be a thing... I'm glad you figured it out. Good tip from First Timer too. I've not experienced that but read of it being a thing. The KLR's can do that too as well as have their impeller spin on the shaft... :)

Electrical gremlins affecting indicator lights and starter circuit

I always add extra ground wires to those rubber mounted plates. They ground through the bolts as stock. I use a cable big enough to take the full load of the bike in case that wire becomes the main ground due to dirty connections at any point... :)

    Wont rev over ~5000rpm

If you don't find something in the fueling I'd look at the igniter next. On your bike it has the electronic advance so you need a mechanical advancer conversion to use the Dyna S or you need to use the Dyna 2000. Good luck. :)

1982 GS750T: Warped Front Disc - Replacement Question...

As far as I know only the 450 had that front end with the 274mm disk. It's good for spares though as any of the post 1980 dual brake models use that disk. You can also fit the twinpot mod single sided to that fork, it's been done before (even using that 295mm disk you just bought but it's not...

When I moved here California was normal so I just assumed it was the same everywhere. I just didn’t compute that it would be a “thing”. First time I went to NV it was a bit of a shock!
