A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Modify Steering Stops

Drill a hole in the existing stop and put a small bolt/washer/nut combination to reduce travel? haven't done it but it seems like it should work.....I think I saw it done somewhere else. Or drill/tap the stop and just use a bolt for an adjustable stopper.

new here, looking for ideas for my gs750

I'm in the process of rebuilding/installing a set of 1993 gsx600f forks (41mm non-leading axel) on the exact same bike. From all that I have read here it is pretty much a direct swap (so far it all looks to be so). I am also doing the aluminum swingarm, just need to find some one to do the...

    GS 600F Fork Swap

Hello All, I am planning on upgrading the front suspension of an '81 750 and have learned that the 600F fork swap is pretty much a bolt on procedure that has been done before. That being said I really have no worries about the actual work but my main concern is regarding the final handling...

    1980 gs750 l

Go at it with a serrated bread knife to get rid of the big chunks and get it to the basic shape you want, then staple some coarse sandpaper to a block of wood to use for final shaping and smoothing. That is what I did and it seemed to work well, although a bit messy, so do the sanding/shaping...

    Piggy backs or no?

Had to double check but the Eco line 302's are only $100 more with pb's which is why I was considering them, any more and I would probably not bite. As tkent points out our mountain roads are far from smooth so I think it may be worth the extra $, at least that is what I have convinced myself.

    Piggy backs or no?

I am on the verge of buying new rear suspension for the rear of an '81 750, I plan on going with YSS Eco line shocks. My question is regarding whether I get the ones with piggy back reservoirs or not, from what I understand the advantage of the pb's is that they have a better resistance to the...

    GS750L Seat ideas anyone?

Well I was going to wait until I got it back from the upholster but I am not sure when that will be so here is what I did, I carefully removed the cover to get to the foam. I then Began the shaping process with a serrated bread knife to get rid of some of the larger portions of foam. Next I used...
