My 1980 GSX 1100 started leaking oil between the cylinder head and the cylinder itself. I noticed this yesterday when i drove 90 km non stop and after arriving home my right leg was in oil (minor sprays on left leg too). I looked liked that someone had sprayed hair spray on my leg but it was oil. I started figuring this out and it seems that the leak comes from the right end of the cylinder head and cylinder. The gasket between them seems wet.
What do you suggest I can do to fix this problem? The engine has been opened two years ago when I installed 1166 wiseco -kit in it but I really did tighten the cylinder head nuts i correct order and and right torque. I even retightened the nuts after 1000 km ride.
Is there any chances of tightening the smaller nut in top of cylinder (in right end, just where the leak comes - nut under valve cap) head a bit more, maybe even a bit too in torque? What about cylinder head nuts; could i retighten them just a bit more than it says in the repair manual? Damn I hate these leaks!
I suppose that my last chance would be to put some ugly oil sealing goo in there because i suppose that oil is not leaking from pressure. What do you suggest, please help me getting this engine sealed [-o<
