All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hello, I bought a GS1150 EFE engine to install in my GS1000E project. Before you purists disown me, I was looking at a 5000 to redo my 1000 mill and the purchase of this 1150 was so cheap that I?m looking at about 1/3 the total cost. Now I heard this swap is doable. I understand I may need the forewarn engne mounts from the 1150 and use the 1000 rear and lower rear mount. If anyone can shine some light on this I would appreciate it. I will also send some pics.

Don't know myself but seen it done several times at the drag strip. It can be done with little hassle I believe.I know a friend that bought a 1260 pro built engine in a Gsxr 750 chassis.A learning process there..No bar bike 15 years ago.Blow the tire off at the line or try and Flip you over in 3rd,if you let it.Swat up and down in 4th and 5th.Sometimes leave the ground through the lights. Glad I was only the mechanic ...Finally managed the clutch and suspension and ran in the 7's after that good luck. I think the 1100 chassis is bit lighter then the 1150 can't confirm though. But I'm sure the knowledge on this site will prove worthy...Lots of smart people on here.

I've done the 1100 in 1000 frame. As I recall 1 or both of the bottom bolts do not not line up. some minor surgey removing the tab or tabs is required. The conversion seemed very straight forward
