1395 is completed.... Track time completed

Knock um out Jake :)

Give us results please. Anxious to see how it goes for you.

Got in 11 runs today and didn't blow it up :D

Bike was running strong but couldn't get any better than 6.50's. Did no tuning just trying to get back in race mode. May need to work on the clutch as if felt like it was spinning to much on launch or maybe the tire??.

It was cool and damp out and the track was cold too. A few times when i was shifting at 8K the shift lite stay'ed on from 2nd to 3rd to 4th so something is going on. Only running 4 spings and 3 bolts/nuts and looks like I go 6 and 6 next time.

On a few runs the bike was on the bars most of the way down the track so it's making more power just got to get it to the ground.

Thinking of drilling the slides holes bigger, going back down to a 44 rear sprocket, add more spring and weights to the clutch. If that doesn't work then it's ported head time.

Have you considered changing your carbs? A set of Lectrons would probably make a pretty big dfference.

Take the clutch apart and see if you burned them up. I would take it to a dyno as well to make sure your jetted correctly. Takes all the guess work out of it. That big motor should run like a SOB. You depress me every year with this racing talk. We don't start till april. Hell it's snowing here in ohio.

Yeap, I'm thinking of getting some bigger carbs and a ported head before the end of the racing season and as for the clutch I'll be taking it apart after Jr. wins the 500 today.

Ryan, come on down to Texas we still got some room.
My mom and brother live near Columbus and I hate to drive up there in the winter.

Pulled out the plates and fibers and they are still good. Went ahead and installed the other two oem clutch springs. I got all 6 of them in there now and also have a bolt and but on each arm of the lockup. That should take care of any slippage.

I going to wait until next week before I change my 46 rear to a 44. Will see what happens this weekend.

If your on the back wheel most of the way down the track, it sounds like things are hooking up. 6.5 is still moving fast.

I was hoping that Mark Martin would take it....

I'm not worry about that time since it was the first time out, with some more tuning it will drop. Next thing on my list is crabs, wait carbs

I did make one run on a pro tree the only problem was they didn't tell me and I had 1.020 in the delay box. I'm sitting there with a green light waiting as my friend is gone. The tower forgot to reset the tree after a pro driver made his run.

Rusty would of been nice too.

I'm sure your going to be knocking on the 5's soon enough.

I found a used Dyna SuperPro 4000 for sale that I picked up for a bill. No coil pack or pickup. The thing looks new and appears to work. I use the Dyna S for a pickup for the MSD-2 and it sounds like this will work if I change out the rotor. Its about a quarter the size and uses two rotary switches to set the two rev. limiters rather than the two chips the MSD has.

Just more to add to the plate.

Guess who is gonna get a busa? I sold my Honda today to make room in the garage. I think an 05 red.

There is a major problem with a busa.
Its the shape of my body :( Boy are they sharp. i almost bought a red one last yeas but when i sat on it--yikes. Im too short, my pot belly is pushing against the gas tank and I really had to stretch to reach the handle bars/
The machine is a work of art Please enjoy some of it for this wannabe an owner

Is that to force your way into the 9s, or is this going to be a street bike?

I want to do a street strip. swingarm, airshifter, lowered. I only run the gs at the points races. I wanted something I could take to the rest of the races that was fast, no maintenance, and I could just have some fun on. A busa is a ten second bike all day with no mods. There used to be a smaller guy ran in the 9.80's totally stock.

The local dealer said he would match the price I'm getting from a dealer 2 hours away. I'm going to stop tomorrow and see what I can work out.
And yes it's still snowing up here. I guess it will have to sit in the garage for a bit. That will suck.

But think of all the bonding time you'll have with it. Might just make the SO jealous.... you better buy two.

Last night got down to 6.30 at 106. This thing is starting to get with the program.

Thinking of switching from pump gas to VP MR9. Has anybody tried this stuff?? they claim more power. Might help the cause.

Found a 1150 head with a little street/strip porting done to it. So in a few weeks it should be on and this beast should be in the high 5's from then on.

Just need to pickup a 1150 stud kit by next week.

Once the head is on then i can call this thread; 1395 is almost done Complete

I think a stock 1100 head flows around 70cfm so maybe the 1150 head flows around 80-85 cfm? Does anybody really know :?:

1150`s work great with 1.5 mm over on intake and 1mm over on exhaust.
