Hey guys, I've been around a long time but don't post very much. Thought I'd share my story and ask a few questions.
Scored this 850 from a friend who pestered me into buying it, finally got it for $180!
So after all the regular tune up, o-rings, tires, clutch and many other things including two new used carb bodies due to broken idle mixture screws plugging the idle circuit, had it running excellent!
Then while having a great ride to the coast this Saturday, it didn't go into 5th gear and I opened the throttle fully while already at 9k rpm. Well it slowed way down and sounded terrible so I shut it down and brought it home with my truck. Found the #2 intake shim out and broken! I'll post more pics...
