I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Battery is dead. Had it on the trickle charger over night but there is still no reading. However, the seller on eBay WILL replace it for free :).

R/R is toast. Did the tests following the Stator Papers and it did not pass. It reads CH125-6 on it. This is the one I got from duaneage. So I did a search and found this. I will follow the instructions on BassCliff's site to convert this to work on a Suzuki GS.

Headlight bulb is blown up. 2 fuses blown. A few wires have been melted. A few connectors burnt/melted. Looks like it's mostly within the charging circuit. I hope the igniter is OK...

It seems that everything else is good. Maybe I can fix this.

I would NEVER suggest that you happen to read that this guy's bike has burned to the ground. :-\\\
Especially NOT after a bunch of time has past and he has forgotten all about you. ;)

Hey, someone finally bought that bike. I made him a couple offers on it down to 350.00.
what was the deal with the bottom end? He told me a boss took it for a ride and hurd a clunk. He pulled the oil pan and a piece of cylinder sleeve fell out???? I am dying to know what the deal was with that engine.

Yup, that is exactly what happened. Owner let his boss ride it, then the engine blew.

This is what happened. Cylinder sleeve #1 exploded. Chunks of it have been found on the bottom of the oil pan.

Apparently the head was in great shape since a member is using it on their bike right now. But I sold the bottom end off for parts. It might still be good. I don't know.

And I have replaced it with a good running GS1100EZ engine.

This bike has been on craigslist for a quite a few months. I think he wanted $800 for it at first.

Actually, SonicSalmon bought the bike first. But he never got around to doing anything with it so it sat for 5 months until I picked it up :)

Wow! 2 years? I got this bike for $400 then I got an engine for another $400. Not too bad.

This is an older video from about 3 days ago. I tell you, Bill does good work. The turn around is amazing!

So... Carbs cleaned, rebuilt, and tuned for my bike .

Wow! That's cheap! I saw someone else post about that model number....I wonder what manufacturer that is though? Maybe no better than the stock one. Wish it said Shindengen on it like my Duaneage one did. Might be worth picking up a backup, but I doubt this one will fail :) With my luck it would though! Seriously, your story sounds like something my luck would bring me!

That's the spirit!! Hope you can get her back up!

But that's the exact same R/R I got from duaneage...

Oh!! Kewl. Mine was an actualy Shindengen.
I'm guessing he sold a few different R/R's and not only a Shindengen.

I needed a new chain and found a good deal. RK 630 o-ring chain. 96 links. That's stock, right?

My battery should be here on Monday. Bought that R/R as well. Bought some brand new bulbs. Fixed a few wires in the wiring harness. I got to use my new soldering iron and heat gun I had laying around! I think I'll be good to go once I get my parts. The damage isn't too bad after all :).

I told myself that I wasn't going to work on the bike for a while but I just can't stay away from it!

Couldn't tell you what is stock. I think I found it in the service manual? I know Mike from Z1 confirmed what I counted for the chain that was on it. I think mine was 114 but it's a 530 also. I'll admit my newbness....I didn't realize that you had to count pins for links and not just the links! Ugh...so I came up with 57 originally. Lol
