Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

That champagne bodywork with the polished aluminum engine is NICEEE!!!! Bummer that it sounds like you got bodywork that was in rougher shape than the stuff you had :(

Sorry. I have more bad news. :(

I have these extra wires hanging around.

I turned the key and every light works except for the headlight. WTF???

It must have something to do with those extra wires. And of course it doesn't run because those 2 orange wires with bullets are for the start button.

EDIT: My speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, and oil temp gauge lights do not work either.

It has got to be something really easy.
These bikes are not that hard to figure out.
You DO have a test light and a volt meter right?

No. It's not that a wire is broken or anything like that. It's these extra wires that have no where to plug into!

Don't you have an electrical diagram?
Of course I do. But I haven't actually looked at it yet.... Today is my day off so lots of bike time today!

But still.... A big plug with no where to plug into??? It's coming from the wiring harness so there must be another plug for the gauge cluster. Maybe it got snagged behind the headlight bucket somewhere when I stuffed all of the wiring into it.

Yeah there's two of those, mine connect right around the coils, under the tank. A blue one and a white one, with a single wire connected between the two with a bullet connection.

I actually haven't looked under the gas tank yet. Better check!

you should have coils w good boots tomorrow
Sweet. :)

Got myself some M6 x 1.00 x 20 bolts for the igniter. Perfect! But I hate having to remove the rear master cylinder and brake piston just to get to it. :| I will have a Dyna S one day...

UUuuhhhmmmm, don't those two white connectors plug together? Looks like the wire coloring is not right though. One is female and one is male. Or is one 6 conductor and the other is 4 conductor? Looking at wire coloring those two white/orange bullet connectors want to goto the white male connector. Time to trace down your schematic :-\\\

That looks like the plug for the gear indicator lights. The other end will come from where the stator wires come out.
Is the headlight possibly burnt out?

OK the big plug on top has 8 slots but only 7 wires in it?
The White/red tracer wire tells me it's for the right handle bar switch..

Did you say you had to change the plug on the right switch I sent because it didn't match your harness? (that turned out to be an 80 harness or something)

Yup. And that's why I will need to reconnect that plug to the right switch. Good thing I kept it!

That single orange/white wire is I think something to do with the kill/starter switch. Like that goes to the starter solenoid, kickstand switch, or something like that. Or the gas sender. I'm off my game today.

Got a package containing coils from sschering. Thanks! I jumped the solenoid and the bike runs great. :) Idles and revs good. Most likely because of the new igniter.

But I fear that I may have to sell the bike soon for personal reasons. :(

Awww man... Not again. I really hope I can keep the bike. I will find out this weekend.
