2025 World Series - Dodgers and Blue Jays

I certainly wish we could get a couple games in the afternoon. At least the Saturday game today.
8PM is just to late for us. Ended up watching yesterday's game this morning.

Not me .... I'm treating every victory like it's VE day ......Mostly because I don't think we will win the series ..... But and it's a big but, if we can get to the Dodgers bullpen early I do think we have a shot .....

Hey Cap,

that is the honest truth right there!

I was at the Baltimore game where Yamamoto was throwing a no-hitter/Dodgers had a lead going into the 9th when he allowed a HR.

Dave Roberts pulled him and the bullpen lost the game.

What a heartbreaker that was!

So, those experiences either make you or break you.

I hope Yamamoto can continue his great pitching into the 6th/7th/8th inning and the Dodgers score enough runs to keep them in it with our bullpen.

Good Luck to both teams tonight.

Hey Trevor,

I'm gonna start off by saying, "I recognize the banter/humor."

I'll post an "lol" to indicate I recognize the humor/sarcasm.

As for what the sports media/news says about guessing who's gonna win a series, I don't pay attention to that.

Back to discussing the HR from Ohtani.

There's still a game to finish playing...that's why they play 9 innings.

The defense is still trying to prevent the offense from scoring--for both teams.

Any scoring can be celebrated in the face of a great deficit or increasing a lead.

It's a best-of-seven series which means both teams will make their adjustments and move forward.

G2 is tonight and it's Yamamoto's turn to challenge the Blue Jays lineup.

GO DODGERS!!!

Lol....If anyone is aware that it's a "best of seven series"....it's a Jays fan....lol

Like Garth....I don't really expect the Jays to win the series...I'm a fan but also a realist.
So like Garth, I'm going to celebrate hard when the Jays do anything positive against a team that is way over confident because they are believing the media and their fans that they were going to win in four. Come on man it was all over the place....
Not only did we win last night...we humiliated the Dodgers!
Barger hits the first ever pinch hit grand slam in a world series and our 9 run inning in a world series, is only topped by a 10 run inning by the Tigers in 1968.

Like I said, I don't expect the Jays to win the series...so we have nothing to lose (I also said that before game one)....so if and when the Jays lose I won't be upset at all. I'll happily hang my hat on the game one slaughter.
:) :)

Hey Trevor,

I'm glad you explained your thought process!

Seriously, I had no idea about the 4-game thing.

But like I wrote, I don't pay attention to the Sport news/media about predictions...I end up finding out about it, after-the-fact.

It's anybody's game really.

Good luck to both teams!

Go Dodgers!!!

Well now it's "Dodgers in five"! Lol

I wouldn't be betting on that!

As a matter of fact, I bet (no pun intended) the reason people come up with wild predictions is because of betting.

That and a storyline to keep people debating.

I just want to see a great game!

You did............... :)

My prediction for this evening Yamamoto versus Gausman ..... If either one gets pulled before 60-70 pitch count that's going to be the losing team .....

I'll also be looking at their delivery motion as well as if they are hitting their spots.

Of course, the umpire's strike location will either help or hinder each pitcher.

Trevor--looking for ANOTHER great game tonight!

Yep, sure hoping for another great game... but with different results would be good.

Yamamato put on a pitching clinic . All I can say is ... Wow ! .....Hopefully the Dodgers haven't got more of that .......

Almost feel like you bccap, Yamamato put on a pitching clinic. All I can say is ..Wow ! .... Hopefully the Dodgers have MORE of that......

Not being a big baseball (or any sport) fan, all I can say is that it was a big event in my father's life when the Dodgers left Brooklyn. I've read about it, and my Dad confirmed, that it was a black day, mass mourning for many Brooklyn natives. :(

Impressive performances by both pitchers last night.

Started a bit rough early for Yamamoto but he was able to get through without too much damage.

Then, Yoshi got into a zone and finished the game.

The bats woke up for the Dodgers to help offset the stress of pitching a complete game.

The next 3 games are in LA and in consecutive days: M/T/W

Good luck to both teams.

Go Dodgers!

Pivotal G3 tonight in Los Angeles.

Good luck to both teams.

Go Dodgers!!!
