A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hope everyone had a great Christmas, i scored well.

I have pulled the fuel tap down and gave it a really good looking over and found the diaphragm to be worn out, the worst damage is a small tear 2mm long right in the centre where it goes around the metal plunger. So i'm on the hunt for a diaphragm for it. Dont know what my luck with be like though! All the kits i have seen dont look anything like my fuel tap.

Our local Suzuki dealer is crap and never returns my calls. My mum went in there to get me a voucher for Christmas, she had to go upstairs to the accessory department but she couldnt because she has a bad knee and the Bloke behind the counter upstairs kicked up a fuss because she couldnt come up!! So my mum told them where to stick the voucher... lol

Well found! I'll have to give mine a good check when I drain the tank ready to paint.

I hate dealers that have crap customer service.

My closest Suzuki dealer annoys me with high prices (compared to US) and the fact that they don't have an online fiche or anything like the US dealers do, but their actual service is great and they never complain about ordering the oil seals or bolts or whatever that I need and overall have been very helpful.

On the other side of the coin, my wife had a mix of good and crap customer service at the local Yamaha dealer. She bought me a pair of Draggin jeans for Christmas (she's awesome), and got great service from a couple of girls in the accessories area, but when she went back and got served by a guy, he was a complete pr*&k.

I can't see me rushing back there any time soon...

I'm going to have no choice but to get it from Suzuki, if they do one. But of course they are shut arn't they!

If you can wait and it's small, try Boulevard Suzuki in the US where I got my rings from.

Less than half the price (including $20 postage) than getting them here and I was able to pay with Paypal also.

They don't have international options on their website, so you will need to find what you want and email them, and they will generate a Paypal invoice for you.

I think Part Shark had good prices too and listed international postage, although I think the postage was a little dearer from memory.

Josh I don't think that diaphragm is available from Suzuki. It's not shown on any of the fiches, even for the more popular models, 550, 750 & 1000. You will need to go after market, try Ebay or Z1 Enterprizes.

i've found one on ebay in the UK, just waiting to hear back from them. This is gonna be fun.... oh well more time to get the bike painted i spose!

Just my 2 cents, but i would advise against the rebuild and go for a replacement petcock.
If the one you have from Don works, and he is willing to sell it, buy it.
If not buy an aftermarket, i had to file out the hole in the fuel tank(i think that is just for 1000G), but it worked better than the rebuild kit.

Well once again the spare parts department at my Local Suzuki dealer is about as useful as a hat full of bumholes!

I heard many people advise on this forum to buy a new one over a rebuild. Have your tried Z-1 or Partshark?
