A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Im sure this has been asked thousands of times, but I'm hoping someone can help.
I'm trying to find a 4 into 2 exhaust for my 1977 GS750. I have found some end cans (marvi?) but no down pipes.

So here's the question(s):
1. Anyone know of a supplier for a full 4 to 2 system for the above.
2. Will GS1000 down pipes fit my 750.
3. Anyone know of an alternative?

For what it's worth I'm in the uk.
Cheers

Brill, thanks. Just out of interest who is the manufacturer?
Cheers Rich

Bump.

Not having alot of joy here, surely with the expertise on the site (& model) someone can advise if the down pipes (headers) off a 1000 (or 850) will fit a 750?

Pipes from an 850 should work fine.

The pipes from a 1000 will fit, but the bolt spacing on the retainer collars is wider, so you will have to slot the holes.

.

Perfect thank you. They seem to be a little easier to source (but
Still very expensive)

See attached pipes for GS 750 E. Brought them from Tranzac in Brisbane Australia.

Can we get new mufflers for a 4 in2 anywhere in Canada or the US?? Seems next to impossible. I guess thats way so many folks switch to the 4 in 1. Kind of sucks as my pipes from the head are really nice. My baffles rotted out from my exhaust.

I saw those eBay ones, 400$ shipped to Canada! Ouch!!
It sucks as my pipes still look good, the baffles just rotted out. I wish I oculd buy just some baffles that slip in.

A fairly good alternative is buying just mufflers and having them welded on to your headers under the heat sheild. I put a pair of emgo's on my 79 850 and they looked 'almost' stock but were louder than stock so a friend put the whole system on his 79 750 and loves them. They sound great and have removable baffles so you could actually play with the sound a bit depending on the wrap you were using. Best thing the mufflers only cost $55 a piece and you can buy them from almost anywhere. Mine came from JC Whitney.

Those look really great!

WOW they look fantastic. Will have a look at the company on line, but it will cost the earth to ship to the uk I reckon

I mailed them and asked exactly that question when this thread started and as yet have received no answer so guess who will get no business from me.
