If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

What is that model of 750 whits oil pump gears that fit in 1100?

I think it is the early 4 valve 750's or you can get gears from some place like APE Racing

I have an oil pump gear from a 77 750, and an 83 750, would either of those work?

Do you mean gears ((plural))you need to change them as a set

I`ve said this before you don`t need them unless in a ultra high performance application. It only causes more problems than its worth. I ran stock gears on 400HP brutes. No problems. I`ve seen way to many 50K 1100`s apart that look fine.

i will always agree with not necessary But again ill ask you to tell us about the more problems than its worth please.

slopoke most of my bad experiences have been with drag racing applications at high rpm. I have had and seen several shear the gears off on the pump. I have seen several that have had head gasket problems (leaking around the studs) that was a result of to much oil in the head which then also gets blown out the breather. Again most of these came with modified engines and in ultra high rpm applications. I have to ask has anyone ever had a cam or rocker wear out prematurely due to a lack of oil to the head? I have never seen one where something else didn`t cause it. I think 750 gears are going to cause more problems than they are worth. I have seen where several high lift cams have worn out rockers and the 750 gears did not help. A hard weld rocker is the only cure for those with a hard weld camshaft. In that particular case I would say yes use the gear but with a outside the head oiling kit. Remember the GS has no O-rings around the oil gallies supplying oil to the head. Leaks are bad enough at low pressure. I think I may have went into it once but I modified our heads to use GSXR stud o-rings and eliminated our leaky head gaskets. The stock gasket comes with a rubber seal made onto the gasket but aftermarket copper do not. The new cometic spring steel gasket are a large improvement. I guess if it makes someone feel better then do it but if you are having no problems why ask for one. Just my 2 cents.

I see what you mean. i just put mine in because it was there to do and i was instaslling an oil cooler. I have since found that the oil cooler is a waste of time for me even here in florida. i have 1166 and ten to one. the bike still takes forever to warm up even in 90 degree weather. I dont think that anyone wanting to do it would have to be leary of ther mod though. :)

1100 oil pump gears are back in engine. I hope that that small piece of O-ring will stay behind clutch basket.
