A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

The bike only had 6k miles on it but it wasn't perfect... so I took it apart and powdercoated the frame. I had the carbs off so might as well rebuild them... and detail the engine. Here is what I have so far. Now I have to learn how to read a wiring chart so I can hook up the harness.

That looks very good so far. I would like to do this to mine one day. The powdercoat looks great. Keep up the good work.

Very nice sir. This definitely is turning out to be the year of the Kat. There must be 6 or 7 restos going on now. How is the body work? Plans for that? How about the running gear?

My own 750 project had stalled for a month or more as home renos have taken priority but with a good long weekend coming up I am inline to finish the paint and begin the reassembly. That's if riding doesn't get in the way:dancing:.

I am getting anxious to get on this bike so I'm hoping I can get my first test ride in some time next week. I'll be posting my pics then.

Keep up the excellent work and (unlike me) please post more pics as you go. We all love the inspirtation.

Cheers,
Spyug.

Always kinda liked the Kats. Probably would have kept trying to find an 1100 for some kind of hop up modded super-beast if I didn't find the Slabbie 11 first. Slabbie don't need no hopping up.

Nice job on the resto, keep it up!

That's if riding doesn't get in the way:dancing:.

Lets hope it does! Sent you a PM on CUJM. Don't poon out on us.

The body is absolutley PEFRECT not a scratch. The engine was replaced under Suzuki warrantee so it has even less miles than the bike. I always replace chain, sprockets, shocks, etc.

Wow, keep going like that and your Kat will be better than new when you're done. Nice work!
