A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I made some good progress yesterday header repainted installed. Carbs on 38mm in 36mm boots always fun. Almost ready waiting on the wife to finish the seat and I'm gonna change cams the .400 intake and .380 exhaust are a bit to aggressive for street use so I'm waiting for a friend to send me some stock gsxr cams. With 1186cc oversize valves and carbs it still should have lots of power.

Swinger & Wheel?

Swinger & Wheel?

Okay, I gotta ask, what year were the swinger and wheel from? 750/600? 5.5" or 6.0"?
Tnx
G

The rear is 95 1100 gsxr I believe the front is 93 750 gsxr wheels are 5.5 rear front ? Off the 95 1100

Cool!

Cool!

Okay, I was just confused as you had a 25mm pivot.
Someone must have put in the bigger pivot tube.
Tnx
G

Forgot

Forgot to ask, the min/max distance from the center of the pivot to the center of the axle?
Tnx
G

I will measure when I get home as I'm at the local short track working our first race of the year.

With the axle in this position about 3/4 of the way back it measures 23 3/16" from center to center

Long!

Long!

Wow, it's long. I think that someone changed the pivot as well? To get the 25mm pivot bolt.
How is it handling now with a long wheelbase? And the wheelie problem?
Tnx
Greg

Haven't rode it yet maybe next week. I believe the 25mm pivot is stock for the water cooled gsxr11of that year my 94 has a smaller bolt, it was one of the toughest parts of this conversion. The length is 2" longer than the original swingarm should help keep the front wheel on the ground.

Cool! I thought all the water cooled GSXR11's had a 20mm bolt. Was too much trouble to change it for Suzuki. SRAD 750 had a 25 along with the TL's. Busa too when it came and replaced the 1100.
Unless someone knows something else?
Tnx
Greg

Okay

Okay

Okay, I see. '96 Suzuki upped the pivot bolt size to 25 on all the sporties but on the 1100, keeped the small axle size.
Vewry good to know.
Tnx
