A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Baught this bike for my wife a few yrs. ago. It's always been hard to start, when cold, & very very cold natured. Always runs fine after warmed up, and restarts easy with just a touch of throttle rest of day. A couple of weeks ago, I put appx. 8 oz. of Sea Foam fuel additive in a full tank of gas. Everything fine till a couple days ago. Bike is starting good, but won't idle worth a flip after warmed up, constantly blipping throttle to keep it running. If it dies, won't restart at all. Won't even hit a lick, even with a shot of starting fluid. Next day, when completely cooled down. Full choke, touch the start button & it fires right up. Hoping for suggestions, short of pulling the oddball 2bbl. carbs.

When you added the SeaFoam, did you RIDE THE BIKE to go through that tank, or did you just let it sit?

The strong solution works well, but you need to keep fuel flowing through the jets to clean them. You can then let it sit overnight, but refill the tank to dilute the mixture soon after that.

I Think You Might Be Pulling/cleaning Those Carbs. There Are Plenty Of Posts Here To Help You Get Through It. It's Not That Bad After The Second Or Third Time Lol.....good Luck And Keep Us Posted

Put Sea Foam in, rode appx. 60 mi. sat for few days, rode 20 mi. rode few mi. every few days. Now, after a couple of wks. about ready to go on res.

The fact is that the Seafoam may have actually loosened up some crap in your tank that is now in your carbs. Most likely, one or more float needle valves is now being held open, making the bike overly rich at idle.
Go ahead, ask me how I know.
And yes, you WILL need to pull the carbs.
