A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Just have to replace a couple feeble stock connectors and attach the tire hugger and then test ride!

beautiful looking bike. I see you are doing a little touch up paint so it is probably looking pretty good for such vintage bike.

I guess it does look like there is some painting going on, but that's from the '78 Toro Groundsmaster resto :) Having said that, it does have quite a few nicks and scratches from what looks like poor transporting in a truck\van. Overall though, very good shape. It only has 25k on it. The previous owner said he couldn't get it to run right after rebuilding the carbs. It's no wonder, he left out 2 balancing springs, o-rings and springs from the mixture screws and somehow during all that, he had pulled the cap plug away from the wire from the coil. All pretty easy fixes. It did need fork seals and I put new wheel bearings in just because.

The bike looks great Mark! I'd really like to see that one in person and hear it run, great stuff.

Need some bar-end weights, Mark? I have a pair from the '94 GSXR1100 front end that's on my 80 GS11. :encouragement:

Thanks Dave, it does have a pair but there doesn't seem to be a receiving nut for the throttle side. Just another one of the "little things" I need to sort out.

Looks OUTSTANDING ! Did you perform an oem resto ? Here's a pic of my restored 1st gen 750. Lot of money and sweat invested but it came out awesome. My 750 is a weekly driver as well, I don't spend all that money on garage queens ! You may remember me back several years ago, not sure if you saw my finished bike or when it was just a wrecked pile of parts ;)

I have replaced all the aftermarket stuff with OEM from a '90. Exhaust, ignition. I still have to find front signals to get rid of the flush mount things. Whoever put them on drilled into the panel to install them.😠😠 I don't think the stock grommets will cover the holes.

That 750 is glorious! I have to find a red '83 1100e first and then a search for a GSXR 750 will follow.
