A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

started her up again today and there was no hesitation or anything however even after adjusting the idle on saturday shes back to idling high. ~2300 RPM high

:?:

tomorrow I should have my forks back :)

got the front forks back finally and put on and also bled the brakes and cleaned out the throttle cable so it snaps back like it should. Didnt have time to test for a leak and mess with the carbs though.

the front sits an inch lower now too :D

Excellent progress sir. Well done. Its coming together very nicely and will be very interesting to see how she turns out.

Keep 'em coming!

Cheers,
Spyug

tomorrow ill be checking to see if the o-rings for the rubber boots between the carbs and the block are leaking.

hopefully Ill get to putter around the shop some too. Hopefully its not busy all day :D

today I was slammed with work. one tech is on a cruise and the other was at state inspection school for half the day.

got her running pretty well and everything seemed fine but turned out she was dripping a little gas out the vent tubes after running and a little bit out of the #2 carb air filter. so I re adjusted the float levels and while I was in there I noticed one of the float needles (carb #2) was sticking so it got a new needle and seat.

I also put a new cotter pin on the axle nut up front, re routed the cluster gauge back up top and adjusted the speedo cable back to where its suppose to be.

thanks! should be picking up some paints today at Home Depot. Im thinking a flat blood red with a flat black single stripe down the middle of the tank and the fender.

found some satin red. What do you guys think? The fender would be red and pretty much everything else that is chrome other than the motor would be flat black including the exhaust.

Hahaha you just gotta look a little more carefully and you should see it. Its there, somewhere

all her pictures are in the link in my sig. Feel free to take a look. Granted there are a couple that are a bit on the NSFW side so please view when its appropriate.

I like the OD green look on your bike. I had considered an all OD green bike with matte white wheels for a while. Good progress so far.

thanks for the input. Im gonna spray it red today (the tank atleast) and see how it looks.

I was hoping to find a darker more blood red than this but no such luck yet. It may still end up OD green.

Kinda wanted it to match my jeep.

It's darker when it's dry and yes I am aware of the dent haha

I was gonna say.. uhhh.. bondo? Haha. I like the color though!

Not worth that much time and effort. I'll get a nice tank later once all the important things are done. But I am diggin the color.
