Greetings and Salutations!!
Greetings and Salutations!!
Hi Mr. englishteacherdude,
I picked mine up from Ebay for $20, soldered on my own connectors, and have been happy ever since. Look for a good used one from the "approved" list. I seem to recall that mine came from a later model Honda Gold Wing. If you don't want to go with a used part, I would purchase from a well known vendor like Electrosport, Rick's Electric, etc. Make sure all of your electrical connections and grounds are very, very, clean.
And I think Mr. salty_monk means the
Compufire units, which are great (series regulators), but pricey. Look for posts from Mr. posplayr with lots of info on those units.
