A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.
A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.
A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Stay tuned Sunday for pictures of the new caretaker trying to import it to the US....
In the pouring rain, wind, and lightning that is predicted
I sure hope it has 150 miles left in it...
God stuff Trevor. Is it smoother now? What was the verdict, twisted crank?
Umm Yeah... CheapMy 1999 TL1000R + $2K cash. :congratulatory:
No update yet, Bob? You're not still at the border with your pants around your ankles, are you? :-s
Thanks Sandy,
It's smoother for sure...No, the crank is fine. I just think my 83 is so smooth that I'm spoiled by that. lol
This is the best it has ran since I bought it. It really is a nice bike to ride. I put sonic fork springs in...the bike is super tight for a 35 year old bike. And it's pretty quick too.
What are these papers that need to had for crossing into the US?I should have never done this on a weekend. The line at Customs was huge and VERY slow moving.30 minutes delay at the border, 2 hours in line waiting for an agent, 30 minutes to get the paperwork sorted. Bike is now legally imported to the US, no problems other than the Speedo quit somewhere around Bellingham. Will try to post pics tomorrow.

I'm thinking of buying Canadian too, because I'm seeing some bikes between Windsor and Toronto.
Thanks!
and you are an old white guy with a confused look on his face.
Took her out for the first time after the rebuild, got the safety inspection, and now she's registered! This bike takes off like a rocket! But then again, it's the largest displacement bike I've owned. I love it! Wife took this picture to share with my dad afterwards.

I love monuments... Here's myself next to the monument at Gettysburg of my great great great (might be another great or two I'm missing) Grandfathers's regiment that was committed in Gettysburg...Like those Civil War monuments. We have one near here very similar to that, but our guy has a mustache, and a dirty face.
Buchannon Michigan.
