A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

My First Proper Ride in 20 Years

My First Proper Ride in 20 Years

Finally got one of my GS1100s rolling and out on the road. Went for a quick spin in the Kent (UK) countryside. You can see the Oast House in the top left hand corner.

The sheep were not amused:

Fall Colors Ride

Fall Colors Ride

Might be the last of the nice days for a while, so better get that ride in,,.

Scott, how do you get on and off the GS?
Not kidding, i would have to park beside a curb or railing.

It is a little long legged :D.

I am not quite 6' tall, but I have a long torso and short legs. Most of my bikes are tall and I'm getting older. There is not way I am going to be able to handle them when I am in my, well, "older years" I probably need to buy a TU250 while I can and save it for later.

Beautiful picture, Wizard.
The colours, a winding road and the mountains in the distance would make it easy to play hookie from work.

Work?

Work?

That was about as much traffic I saw.
Was real nice to ride without regard to the Speedo (or GPS).

I did actually make it to the Mountains,,..
2013FallColors3.jpg

But it was purty cold up there, so motored back into town, got a Snubway Smashwich, had a late lunch, good for tummy, good for soul.
I gave up on "work" a long time ago,,.. but always busy here somehow,,..

Nice Pix,people...it's hard to beat the foothills of Alberta for natural scenery, or the variety and interest of Britain...now, if only there were a few ruined keeps on those hills in Alberta...:)

Rode my 1100 around town today then got home and it looked like my 750 was feeling neglected so I took her out for a little spin. Then I took my wife's 400 Bandit out for a spin. That 400 is Sooooo fun!!:D Life is good!!:)

Hey, 46 degrees this morning (other days this week have been upper 30s or just barley over 40).
Went for breakfast.
Stopped along way for sunrise photos.

Nice shots guys! And yeah Trevor I'm still lovin' my 450, so much fun in the twisties!

I got out again yesterday with a couple of the Katana boys, a new rider, and John82q with his passenger-less chair... didn't slow him down much :D

Very cloudy and a few sprinkles but no rain so we were still able to have lots of fun.

The view at the Pitstop Cafe where we have brekky is normally awesome, but yesterday couldn't see much:

Did bribe wife with lunch at a certain restaurant she likes in Whitehall (has outdoor seating in a flower garden) for us to go for ride.

She took some pictures from back seat.

Not much fall color.
But, .... bee-ute-tee-full day for a ride, especially in October.
About 70 degrees, mostly sunny, calm.

The most color we saw was this place along the highway.

Nice, we don't get those colours here come Autumn (your Fall). Most trees are green and leafy all year 'round...

Looks like clouds were down to about the level you were up to.

.

Pretty much... last few hundred metres of the fun road we take up to the top suddenly turned damp as we entered the bottom of the cloud... still didn't curb our fun though :D

My son and I went for a 220km ride today. Beautiful weather we are having here.:) This is up on the Malahat over looking the Pacific...
