If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

850cafe I love that pic!!! Glad I'm not the only one not afraid of a little snow covered roads. Just play it safe on the turns.

That's too cold for me! If there's snow I'm driving the cage with the heat and radio. I thought about riding today... should've. I'm waiting for warm weather to roll around before I start commuting on 2 wheels again.

and it'd be bizarre to ride without the big tank there!
.....might be an idea for April Fool's Day- hide the wee tank completely and put a sign on somewhere:
Hyper- Efficient Fuel Mileage Test Vehicle

I like it! :D And April is just around the corner!

Hello suzooki. your 1100 is beautiful

Thank you! This has been sitting since 1986,I bought it from the original owner, cleaned carbs and new battery. It sat unused for another twelve years of not being ridden, so I bought another battery, changed the oil, replaced the chain, dusted it, buffed the footpeg brackets because the anodizing was looking sketchy, cleaned rust from brake pedal, shifter and a few bolts, runs nice. It has 12,000 miles on it now, I've ridden it about 50 miles. I bought it from my friend who had the valve covers off but never finished adjusting them, he gave up and it was just sitting in his garage. I was just going to fix it and sell it because I had a new shiny CBR900 at the time and thought this was just an old slow heavy thing to do burnouts on but then I started staring at it and it started looking better and better, now the new shiny CBR is gone and after many bikes in between, this one stayed. I shined little parts here and there and now I can't give it up, I know if I did someone around here would just make a drag bike out of it from all the people who ask about it. We had been on many rides back in the 80's and it brings back a lot of memories and the bike still runs strong and it's comfortable. When my buddy bought this, I had a Moto Guzzi V50 Monza, one day we rode to Yosemite and at about 10pm on a Sunday night we were just leaving the park which was about 120 miles from home, my headlight burned out, I had to ride behind this bike all through the winding mountain roads all the way home, this big ol' honkin headlight saved the day, there was NO place to buy a light on a Sunday night back then. I never realized how cool these bikes are, every time I open the garage door I just admire it. It's all original except for the tires, chain and handlebars. I have a total of $900 into it and thats about $10,000 less than I wanted to spend on a new bike. :)

I rode to work today...it was sunny in the am but when I left the gym at 11am the clouds rolled in. Here's what it looked like at 5pm; the sun was trying to come out.

And a close-up.

And a pic of the giant flag put up for a DV visit last week. It was either Tom Carper or Michael Castle of DE. I work Swing-Shift so I missed out.

Ed, you gotta take a picture of the freight terminal for me, for old times sake. That big old blue building still there? The place probably has a new NCO club huh?

I'll hook you up this week!

Hi,

That looks like a very pleasant road. An the bridges looked particularly interesting, especially in the rain.

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Haha yes indeed Cliff! I'm quite keen to try that road in the dry now, I reckon it'd be a real hoot! It was fun in the rain but just not as much fun as it should be...

Hi,

I just commuted like I do every day. But today was a little special because the other riders in the department and I all shared the same parking space.

You see Ian's KLR650 and Carlos' Kymco scooter sharing a spot with my Jessie.

I believe I see sun too Cliff! That's been a rarity here lately but today there's this weird blue stuff in the sky instead of the clouds...

Yes, the forecasters were wrong today. The "storm" moving in was so weak that we just got a few clouds today. "Winter" in Southern California is a different animal than most places.

Did you notice that the tires on that little scooter are just as wide, if not wider, than the tires on my motorcycle? :p

That scooter has a 130 on the rear and a 120 on the front. Jessie has a 130 on the rear and a 100 on the front. At least mine have a larger diameter. :o

Thank you for your indulgence,

Hahaha yep they're big 'uns! Definitely wider than mine... I only have a 4.10x18 on the back and a 100/90-18 on the front... most of the guys I park near at work have wider front tyres than my back tyre...

I've got a 110 on the back of mine IIRC, I switched bikes with the old man the other day and followed him around. Sure can tell it's an old bike, the tire looks like a bicycle tire!
