I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Lol...you think? We have had three days of rain (and that wasn't much) since some time in April. Everyone thinks it rains here all the time, funny.:) Forecast is for a very dry and hot summer.
We go on flood watch at least a couple times a week for the past month... It's fine You just break the rain gear out and keep on trucking!

Not raining your way? We are getting soaked here in VT... Hope it clears out. Love to go for a spin today.

It has been on and off for the past couple of months.
Sometimes I get caught in it sometimes not.
You just cannot tell when it is going too.
The mountains split it off unpredictably.
As long as the tires are good no concerns with rain.
The overcast skies make it a nice ride even geared up considering it is summer.

Raining here but still the "brick" was beckoning me out this afternoon. Didn't push too hard since I need about 100 miles to "bond" and get to know my bikes. The Metzlers held well and the fairing kept most of me dry for the hour loop.

Please don't be offended by my question Lurch, but are Metzlers any kind of a tire to put on a bias ply sport bike?
Just asking because I know they were OEM equipment on some early 90s sport bikes.
Haven't they been outmoded by the Bridgestone BT45, and others?
Just asking because I only see BMW owners reviewing them online.

Got out a few nights this week after 8 pm when all the NW folks are sunburned and sitting at home with the A/C on if they have one. Perfect temp 67-75 and no one driving for the most part. Been near 80 almost every day this past month, unusual for around here.

The Metzler's were on the bike and fairly new with low miles so I will run them till they wear out. The Lasertec front and Marathon rear are not radials but ride nice enough and stick good in the rain. I know of BMW owners who only mount Michelin tires, but haven't seen any with Bridgestone. The Metzler aren't an outdated tire design like the stuff people put on the 70's Japanese bikes for vintage reasons. If the Metzlers wear out before I tire (no pun) of the bike and sell it, I'll look and see what's out there to match up.

Rob and I got out for a little ride up to Sooke for a test ride before our trip next week. Bike ran great and I think I will take the 81 1100...:) Life is good indeed!!

Took the 850 out for a short blast, need to rebuild the rear break, it is not backing back off. Oh well just something else to do.

A 55 mile commute in this morning counts as a ride.....the K100 does the job well in both stop and go traffic and on the back roads detours. The highway off/on cloverleaf ramps let me work down the chicken strip. Oh, well as long as you time the commute to avoid the worst traffic and sidestep the inevitable attempts by cars and trucks doing you in, it was still a nice day for a ride. Not as much fun as the 300 weekend miles on the vStrom though.

Went up to Lake Cowichan to Gordon Bay Provincial campground. My wife and son drove up Sunday morning and I took the long way up via Port Renfrew on the beemer, had to break in the new shoes I put on it Saturday.:)

Boy way it smokey up there. Forest fire near Port Alberni is making the sky look like the end of the world is coming. Good the CBXChris doesn't live hear. Lol..:p

There is a province wide campfire ban on so the the campground was renting out these little propane fire pits. Not as good as a real fire pit but a very nice compromise just the same.

Ash the next morning on my bike from the forest fire in Port Alberni

such maddening beasts these bikes are on occasion. ..

Ive been especially enjoying my bike this year. Recent work has it running better then it ever has in my 15 years of ownership. Then among all the bliss I find this.

Truth be told, I knew this job was coming, but was hoping that it wasn't to be so soon.
