A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

I went out for about a 50 mile run today. Since I'm right on the border with Mexico, I couldn't resist getting a river shot (plenty of CBP activity, as usual.)

That's Mexico on the other side of the river.

Rode out to this motorcycle museum. They're only open on Saturday and Sunday, but I was the only one there. Only one Suzuki in the place, and it was like an 82 or 83 1100E model. Pretty rough condition. One thing I did notice, all the Harley's had an oil catch pan or rag under them. The others didn't.

Mosquitoes have been really bad so I rode the Wisconsin Alphabet roads and fogged them.

Yep, road grime. Most of the chunks/gobs of clay got washed back off by the rain on return trip,(other than front of engine, could not hardly see the oil filter cover).
But the general road grime remains.
Did get to car wash, just to get the gobbs of clay off, and some of the road grime.
Had stuff going on Sunday, and today and this evening ......
So it its is just sitting there in garage ... corroding... rusting... tarnishing... fowling away. I know it is, every hour, I know it is. Just awful. Oh, the mental anguish.

.

Went for a super lame ride after work.
Tried to keep it mellow, yet the feeling was OMG, how can you drive this slow and get anywhere.
Stuck behind cars the whole way.
Would've been better just to go home and have a beer.
Total waste of time. Don't think I got above 4500 rpms.
Could've been a dick and passed some cars, but there were other cars farther ahead.
Reminds me of the last big group ride I went on, sounded fun but was far from that.
Just signed up for 2 days at Thunderhill in October, that might be a bit more exciting.

A good thick coat of grime protects what is underneath. Cleaning spreads the abrasives and destroys everything. So I keep telling myself....

Carter just ride up to Curlue lake and ride back.

Hey Vince, that was a fun ride, chasing Charlie on the 650.
104 degrees when we got to Republic, as I recall.
Can't remember what year that was.
Sounds like a good loop, what 650 + miles?

weather was great so I went for a 100km cafe ride into the Rockies... a twisty deserted road, never hit any horses, cow, deer, moose or mountain sheep, a very good day...

Something like that, it was the first PNW rally, so something like 7-8 years ago. Took the 919 out a couple days ago and removed the unused rubber line, was fun, kinda like passing you coming down from the lake.
