A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

I needed to blast from being cooped up in the office all day... Even longer day today... Planning to rack miles after work.

Did grab a few miles after work:

Nothing like Ethanol free premium (and 5oz of Stab-il Marine formula) to keep the mowers, weed whacker and chain saw running great all season long!

Got home and fired up my ugly. My 94 John Deere STX38 lawn tractor! 5th season with it... $100, love it!

I rode after dinner last night for a while. Perfect evening for a nice "quick" trip to the store on the GS. 175 miles later I pulled into the garage and realized I "forgot" to go to the store!

Sunset shot Northeast of Santa Fe.

"The ugly" is an awesome bike. There are a few bikes here with inimitable character. That is one of them.
I love that bike! It does more miles than most on this forum, that's for sure!!!
I love the "R" on the 'jammer ;)
Eli I still need to deliver the oil cooler for ya for that thing!

Been riding in the area on 5 visits, and this time I find this road.
Have seen it on maps, have heard people mention it. Have gone past it before.
Yesterday I had time to take it. Great. Needs to go on my list of top recommendations around here.

Mesa Grande.

Guys jumping out of vans with surfboards. GUys walking from nearby condos(?) with surfboards, some walking back.
A couple street musicians sitting around. Other folks sitting around that look like they hang out there a lot.
Folks walking dogs.
And tourist stopping to take pictures.

Shan's car was at the shop so I had to giver her a ride to and from work... She and I love riding 2-up together on this bike...

Had to fly back home to Michigan, and get the GK back together, so can have some GS pictures posted.
Seems to be a lot of non-GS bikes posted here, even those weird things with cylinders sticking out both sides.

SHort ride today after getting it back together.
Stopped at this park, but decide not to go to the other side of the park thru this road.

Such a cool looking Kat that Rob put together.
Dave, have you got all the bugs out from the bike being laid up for a while?

Nope... rear brake caught fire on the way in that morning. Had never seen a rotor glowing that bright of red since I used to watch F1 races in the Senna/Prost era.

All good now... sort of one of the bonuses of working at a bike shop is being able to put your own bike on your life and fix it while surrounded by parts and tools! Will be replacing the scorched rotor at some point but everything else is back to a serviceable state.

Looks like some fun waves. Trying to get myself back in the water, been a year and a half since I got wet.
The last few times out, I got pummeled.

Enjoyed a Sunday afternoon ride with my darling, then some Sunday afternoon chores with my darling. No pictures.

Man we have got some photographers in this group! Awesome shots all. Maybe some day I'll have the time AND the weather at the same time and I can post a few of my own. What's everybody using for cameras? I have a fairly fancy Nikon DSLR, and an Android phone that takes really crappy pictures that wouldn't do justice to whatever scene I might be trying to capture.
