DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

I wanted to post this yesterday but didn't finish with the pictures I wanted until today. For the first time in about a year though the GS550 saw pavement instead of the GSF1250SA (hey, both are GSs and Suzuki). That's right, this finally made its way out of the garage and over to my place

I took advantage of the short amount of dry and warmth we had yesterday and went to the Art Institute downtown to see what was outside there. Found this spire called Pathway that looked nice:

and this strange display called Faith Lift

Unfortunately, the clouds rolled in pretty soon after I got there and I headed home getting to the garage just as the rain started. However, We had a sunny afternoon today which meant I got away for a couple of hours.

Just glad the 550 is back on the road

Like the pics, Scott.
I am a fan of large outdoor art installations. A quick Google search turned up the stainless steel Pathway piece was done as a tribute to the Wright Bros.

Don't mind the look of the blue wheels. Would like to see it with a blue tank as well.

I live on 11 acres 2 miles outside a small town, it was on my porch....go figure...glad that I had to add air or I would not have known. Thy did not cut all the way through but almost, glad that I didn?t find out in the middle of a corner.

I hope you notified the police. this is serious.

Ah, No,

28degF this morning.
Thought of doing a Jedz Run today.
Suppose to be 50 or so in a couple days.
But now govenor announced "StayAtHome" order starting this evening. (lets not discuss that here).

So maybe might get out this afternoon.
Or maybe in next couple days take the bike with lower seat height, cuz the order does allow going for a walk.
Why not? Jedz would.

It finally warmed up enough to go for a after work ride. Then tomorrow, I'm taking a vacation day and riding all day. Figured I'd better get it in now, who knows, next week I could be sick in bed... Remember when motorcycles were dangerous..." Stay safe folks.

Did 80 miles after work tonight on the GS trying out some new roads before heading back home. Sure was nice to be out while the weather was warm and dry

Work has been crazy stressful...so I had to go for a quick ride to clear my head. And drop off a box of Amsoil to a buddy. Lol

Near 50 yesterday, a rare clear blue sky day, calm, ..... but governor says I am suppose to stay home.
But the Order does allow for "outdoor activitys".

Went for a short ride to a park on the river and a bayou.
Walked around looking for evidence of spring.

Was good to get out for a ride, and good to get out away from the house.
(StayAtHome order this week, but I pretty much didnt go anywhere last week either.)

It is wild how dry it looks there only days after there was snow. I'm glad you got out, Redman! Motorcycling makes a difference to one's mental health!

My son and I went for a ride yesterday. It was 61 degrees and sunny. Absolutely beautiful day! Sorry, didn't get any pics.

I'm curious, and I'm sorry if someone has asked this question, Indiana has a "shelter in place" order and I'm wondering if we are even allowed to go for a ride on a motorcycle or are you only allowed to be on the roads for essential work or essential errands? I don't see the harm in going for a motorcycle ride because it maintains the social distancing concept, but I do understand if they don't want unnecessary travel on the roads to cut down on first responder incidents or hospital requirements due to accidents etc. What are your thoughts on this? I can't seem to find in writing anywhere that motorcycle rides aren't allowed specifically in Indiana.

Taken from this article: https://time.com/5806477/what-is-shelter-in-place/

"All travel is prohibited — including walking or biking places, taking a car, scooter, or motorcycle on the road, or using public transit — unless classified as “essential.” Anyone who has a job that is not considered “essential” should work from home."

I think these rules are specific to the SF Bay area but I don't know if the rules are the same here in Indiana.

We (in Vermont) are allowed to be outside for exercise reasons as long a we self isolate. I think a MC is totally fine, I grabbed 100 miles yesterday on the TUX. Planning to grab a few hundred more today. Working from home eats up allot of time.

Yes, those are probably specific rules for certain areas.
