A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

The Machine is awesome. Saw them in a club in Boston in the early 90’s. Frontman could sing and sound like Gilmore or Waters.

I think that guy died recently. They keep his guitar on stage in remembrance. We saw real Pink Floyd in the late 80's in 'Toronto. My wife won tickets on the radio. I think that was just before we found out we were gonna have our first kid.

Got a few out today....

936B276D-9773-4D5C-B1D1-9D813AF6BDE1.jpg No story, other than went for ride and stopped for a roadside pic. THis road curves around a lot following the backside of lakeside dunes, nothing to see other than driveways into the trees. Can see duneside when leaves are down.

4B25296F-7919-49F6-80DC-C51793C091A8.jpg Stopped by beach at state park. Sunday evening in august and the parking lot is empty ! ? !
the parking lot and beach usally looks like a Where’s Waldo scene.
so I parked out on the road.

oh, found that had just been a drowning and recovery.
Sad. (But not unusual in Lake Michigan beaches.)

So, Scott, then we will get to see more ride pics this weekend.

hey, Larr, what aircraft is that?

.

I recognize that ACFT...it's a B-1Bomber. (A larger version of the F-111)

I was stationed at Dyess AFB, TX (Abilene) which also had C-130H aircraft.

Worked DIFM and collected all the reparables for both B-1B and C-130.

Thanks for sharing Larry!

Nice one, looking forward to getting out this weekend after too many wet ones here in Christchurch. Love the Theivery Corp underneath, top chooon.

Had sort of a fun solo mission to the Ridge for a day lapping. Never been to a track day on a Friday before.
Local Wmrra/Omrra club racing this weekend, so it was rather packed paddock & trafficky on track.

A lot of racers were out on track practicing for the races. Not sure if that coincided with the worst freak-show incident, red flag fest, event I've ever attended.

It didn't help that the previous day, a car event took place, where apparently a motor let go spewing a large amount oil at the apex of turn 8a.

3 ambulances, 4 red flags, another oil puddle over the blind brow of turn 3 & questionable line choices made by many.

Things finally calmed down around 2pm, with 3 sessions to go. Learned a few new things in particular corners, so that was nice.

Rode my pristine GS700ES to the weekly car show held at the A&W drive-in. I had a lot of car guys walk over and look at the bike…. several reminisced about riding 750 Suzuki‘s in the 1980s…. I got a lot of compliments on the bike !

Took an evening ride to one of my favorite vistas to get some sunset pics for Pic of the Week Game. Got there early and had the spot to myself, for a little bit. Another guy with a camera, then another with 2 dogs, then another with a camera. We shot the breeze for a bit, then a another truck stopped and out spilled a whole Mennonite family; mom, dad, 4 girls and a boy. Most whipped out smartphones and proceeded to crowd my shot. I’ll never understand the various sects and their stances on technology. Their truck had an airbrushed decorative license plate, you know, the kind you get at a boardwalk shop down the shore. Oh, well, I decided to find it amusing. Sunset wasn’t very spectacular anyway. I’ll post one of the better early shots in the game.
