anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Managed 7-20 minute sessions @ Ridge. About 5-6 crashes & 3 red flags, but no ambulance rides.
Cold day for June, with temps not even getting into the 60's. 1 blown crossplane R1, 2 holes thru the cases.

A short ride yesterday to pickup Macgyver repair parts for a coolant leak in my vanagon.

They cooperated for roadside-selfies. Was mid 80sDegF all afternoon.
Eventually getting Jay back home. THen me home about 630, and Justin continued along to home.

Oil get on the track from the blown engine? Just wondering how the track crew dealt with it.
Looks like FUN!
I've been recovering from hernia surgery, not going on track again until after July 4th.

I've been recovering from hernia surgery, not going on track again until after July 4th.

It happened on the outside portion of the front straight. He heard it pop & immediately leaned it up against hot pit wall.
I think the undertray caught most of it, as I didn't see powder for oil clean up

I had 2 of those with window screen. Avoid laughing, coughing sneezing if possible.

Just got back from a 4300 km ride with 13 buddies....11 days throughout BC and into Alberta. Never put my rain gear on once.
Saw bears, Elk and deer....what a trip. This was instead of our annual USA trip. I'll post pics :) Took the vfr1200f

You got lucky buy about 2 hours. I hit a massive deluge just after leaving you guys at the Kootenay Pass. Great meeting with up you and your group.

Very fortunate to have this as a 65 mile round drip ride from my driveway:

Up past Tortilla Flat at the end of the pavement on the Apache Trail in AZ. Going to be glorious when they finish paving all the way to Roosevelt Dam.

TF.jpg

Our group was the Goldwing, my GS and my buddy's (taking the picture) 86 VFR. Behind the Goldwing was a S1000XR.

Went solo today, but yesterday was a GS1100E, an '86 VFR and a Goldwing.

Managed to get out before the temps got over 85?F. Home long before temps hit triple digits.

Can click on any of the >> for more of the description and get to the rally thread for more rally pics and more posts.

Note: The roads of southern Indiania are not what you might think of Indiania. It was a surprize to me, and has gotten me going back to Brown County Rally most every year since 2005.

Maybe you would like to go next year. Is typically a weekend after fathers day but before 4th July week. No invite required. Just look for Brians posting in Febuary or so, and reply, to get a room in that small motel there (we fill it up).

Great photos Dave! How do you get more than 10 in a single post?
Thanks. Some of those are baatfam or rich82 or stormNorm’s postings. Some are mine from my posting.

I did not POST more than 10 pics in a POST. If/when did try to post more than 10 pics in one POST, it squawks, and have to delete some before can make the posting.
The posting above you are seeing is a multiQuote from multiple post (multiple post in Meeting Place section) (I could describe how to quote a posting from another section, but that goes beyond what you are asking).

My question is how do you post more than ONE. I tried to post two, and it denied me. Is it about user longevity and post count?

Before the site revamp a few years ago, the max pics (BBCode linked images) you could post in was 10. After the upgrade, that number went up but I never tested it. Lets find out. I use Imgur, but it shouldn't matter. For quite some time, posted way more than 10 images, maybe less than 20 in a single post, in the pic of the week thread when doing the recap. Now it seems where back to a max of 10 per post. Hmm.

OK. So, initially, when writing this post, I got the error when I tried to post more that 10 photos. So I reduced it to 10, including an image of the error. It posted. Then, I went back and edited the post, and proceeded to successfully add 10 more pics for a total of 20. So, I don't actually know what the limit is. Maybe I'll play with is more sometime. So here you have it. 20 images in one post.

Well, when doing the Picture Of The week recap (some call "summation"), that is multi-quoting.

Yep, my recent expereince (last night) is if try to post more than 10, then get the error and cant post it untill delete some to have only 10 or less.
But in my posting above, I was quoting multiple posting, and doing that didnt seem to trigger the limit of 10.

Ha, and what you found is can make a posting of ten pics, then apparently can edit the posting and add more.
Ha, so maybe the rule/logic is really that can ADD only 10 pics per occassion of posting or editing a post.

Need to make a distintion of if:
- are coping the IMG code from some photo hosting site (IMGUR, PhotoBucket, Flickr or other) and pasting that into the posting. THat can do 10 (at a time apparently).
or if
- are using the Image Icon here and putting in the link. That I think is limited to One. Especaiy if leave the "reference locally" check mark checked, and/or if use the "upload" tab, then you are asking the GSR website server to store the photo for you, and that is limited to one. (but I am not certain, I dont use that.)

RIch has a link in his signature about hosting and posting photos.

.. .. .. ... ..

Ah, Rich, I now see that apparently you dont mind posting pics of your licence plate number. I know that some folks avoid that. (and some will snarl and gripe if post thiers.)

I had been going to effort to obscure licence plate numbers.

Dave, I don't worry about showing my plate number. Everybody in Bedrord, saw it. Not a secret.
