I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

I put the extra liner in the riding pants and will ride into town this morning around 730am. The forecast is for temps in the mid-20s. I'm planning on flipping the grip warmers on and hope they get hot before my pinkies start to hurt. I have big bulky thick gloves but I am looking at heated liners to wear under them. Everything else is protected but the fingers always seem to feel the cold.

I'm pushing it this year.

My heated liners work far better than grip warmers ever did. You can even wear thinner gloves which don't hinder your grip as much, IMHO.

Monday, near 50degF . . . . and s'pose to be colder and rainy and "some accumulation" snow over next several day, so got out for late afternoon ride.

Late afternoon, this time of year is also sunset time (5:15pm).
But was too heavy clouds for any sunset,
but I came back to the beach/pier later and was a little bit of twilight color in a small area of the sky.

Grass cut today....clean up the driveway....end of November in Canada :)

And a couple of other rides and I bought an E-Bike finally...lol

I'm calling the A.S.P.C.M. (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Motorcycles). :uncomfortableness:

Havent been out since Nov 24th.

Been cold and multiple storms latley. Snowed most every day for over two weeks. ANd some days below 10degF.

But today in upper 30s, and sunny, and barley 40degF for awhile.
Roads clear, but still ice in driveway.

Maybe mid 40s tommorow, but rain.

So got out late afternoon today.

Borderline, I considered riding my CBR, but after a drive for auto parts and grocery store, the roads were too salty. I don't want road salt all over my bike and chain.
With the temps all the way up to 30, I'll be disassembling my GPz engine for removal from the frame. Looks like 30 labor hours over 10 days. (O.B. Joyful)

Fastest, quickest thing you've ever ridden?

Probably....although my K1300R with the factory quick shifter is very quick to 60mph.
The fastest I ever had my k1300r was 265kmph (165mph)...it had more but I was done lol
The K1300R has a factory 173hp
The Busa has 175hp
And my VFR1200F has 170hp
torque numbers are all basically the same at around 100

But the Busa has had some performance upgrades like full Yoshi exhaust and power commander....and she has two dyno sheets of 171hp and 165hp

Now all this said, I have not really had a chance to open the Busa up....and those days (nerve) may be behind me...lol

Either way the 1st gen Busa is supposed to be the fastest production motorcycle ever made.

From Cycle World Magazine....

"The Cycle World 1999 ?Haya?busa ran a 9.86-second, 146 mph ?quarter-mile—face-meltingly fast for the time and still among the best we’ve ever recorded. It also did 194 mph for the old CW Stalker radar gun, which we are going to bronze and hang on the wall in our office because no bike that gun has recorded before or since will ever go so fast. Yes, the ‘Busa remains the fastest production top speed we have ever recorded, and its over?riding competence in crushing air like this led to the 2000 “gentleman’s agreement” among manufacturers to voluntarily limit top speed to 300 kph, or 186 mph, so that governments wouldn’t intervene. A record attained, then preserved".

We got moderate weather this week. 45f is warm enough to start my little princess.

Nice! Good to see you got out (not all bikes tied up undercover in back yard).
and found an intersting place to stop for a pic.

Was near 40 here for Christmas Day, but felt a lot colder, so didnt get out. Today wett (the ice was further north and east).

i did get out today for joy ride. It looks like winter comes back Monday and signs a 3 month lease.

20251223_114852 GS 2 yrs.jpg This was a week or so ago, it got up to 55*F so I checked out the new front rotors. I told Niche that I modified something so the rotor buttons would clear the calipers, they replied don't use them and gave my money back. Fat chance that I'm throwing them away now.

hey< all you guys that go for ride and maybe take a picture:
Maybe you dont go into the OffTopic Section (which I can understand).....
But maybe you might be interested in the Picture Of The Week Game/Contest.

Or maybe you just might like to see the photos and read of some of the adventures described.

IS a different theme each week.
You Can make a posting to that thread and use any pic of yours, needs to be of your bike you owned, and only qualification to alowing the submission is your idea that it matches the theme.

On Friday, anybody can make a posting to that thread stating thier vote on who's picture they like best (for whatever reason).
Saturday morning the winner gets the honor (a-hem) and duty to name next weeks theme.

Here are a quoting of the submissions so far for this week:

..
I am sure we all have a place we stop fairly regularly to admire the view.
So the theme is: Your favorite local scenic view

Here's mine.

Local Scenic View, I have different pictures from different roads at different times. Same Scenic view of my local section of the Green Mountain Range at sunrise. I chose this variety for today.
