B King Mods

The B-Thing is an incredibly underrated bike... I just picked up my second a couple of months back.

I un-crated one at the local dealer and just did not fit on it, those "scoops" hit my legs, major bummer, I wanted one -

Then Suzuki was practically giving them away and I almost bought one.

I've ridden them, they are great machines, I just did not fit on it well enough to buy one.

That was my first ride on one, and, well, you know - I ran it through the gears and my cell phone blew out of my pant pocket -

I went back later and found it on the side of the road -

Put it back together and it worked! Anyway -

The 2nd Generation V-Max is also a must ride. I've been on two, they haul ass but in a far different way that the BKing.

The issue with the VMax is that it is as heavy as a Harley.

My FJ is about all the weight I want to wrestle anymore -

And I'm considering a change to a dual sport....

Back to that B-King -

Here's the owner, "Smoke Dog", with a few other bikes on the ride that day

Good memories -

The BKing, Smoke put over 100,000 miles on it before being hit by a car and totaled.

Nice pic's guys !

Put my 18T back on and a 54 Vortex on the rear. Going to our 1/8 strip in a few weeks and figured why not go ahead and give it some street time. Nothing like getting on the gas in 6th gear until red line. It's a little over kill, OK it's a lot but she moving a lot faster out of the hole.

Might start backing down on the teeth to fine that sweet spot where she stop pulling to red line in
6th gear when go back up one tooth. She gets to 160 mph a lot faster now.

You might as well go big so here's the sexy beast

Finally got around installing the Alien Head exhaust on the B King and sounds really good. Plus did a little mock up for next year go fast mod :-$

Any money spent on a turbo set-up will be slightly offset by never having to buy another front tire.
Outstanding!

I've raised the tubes about an inch in the trees and took out about nine turns of preload in the rear shock to get it lower for the dragstrip. The AH2 header is bigger than oem but so far it hasn't hit anything. Even with the 7" extensions she still blast through the twisties but you have to be easy on the throttle cause she'll lite the rear tire up in a blink.

As for the turbo I just got a GM 3 bar sensor and I'll be installing it and doing some no boost auto tuning before I install the turbo next year.

Enthusiastic throttle application?
It should go even better with the turbo. Don't run it lean.
These new bikes are meant for riding, not working on.

Yeap, before the turbo goes on I'll be removing the in tank fuel pump and going with a bigger inline pump, filter and 1 to 1 regulator. Already got the 3 bar sensor and plug and play wiring and will be tuning it first before the turbo goes on.

Was first in the staging lanes last night and ran ten 1/8 runs in 45 min's, get you some of that !

Yeah it was a good workout on the B King clutch. Ran a best of 6.53 and a few 6.55 and 6.56 right in the middle of all those runs.

Well my T3T4 turbo went on my 87 Ford Thunderbird I picked up last year so I put a Dry Nitrous kit with ECU Editor to control it.

With just a 20 shot I was spinning the rear tire in 2nd gear at 7K on my test run, still got a 30 and 40 shot to try.

Here's how I have ECU Editor set up so no need to hold a button, just open the bottle, go WOT and hit 7K and nitrous is on.

Awesome ! Happy to see this tread revived. Cant wait to see some vids this summer......

With a little luck maybe my Son will take some ?

I finally got a battery for my laptop and strapped it down and did some logging today. With a 20 shot of nitrous AFR was a little rich at 11.5 {better safer than sorry}

It was nice seeing it adding fuel and pulling timing out with the nitrous on so next is a 30 shot.

As a side note the old GS was kicking some ZX1400 butts last night during test and tune, felt good to be back in the 5's again in the 1/8.
