DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi,

Wow. These are very slick. I'm impressed. I think they'd look good on my bike too. Are you taking orders yet? :)

Thank you for your indulgence,

x2. or is that x4 or x5?
I'm ready to shell out some dough for a set of these. I have to buy a set anyway, and these are AWESOME!

Can you make a set for the 650 if I send you an old one?
Aluminum for me, please.

Price???

Price???

To continue the beer can series, I offer this teaser of a camshaft cap.

I was going to paint the whole thing black and polish the rim and the S, but I like this look so well I want to leave aluminum. When I drill the mounting holes, I will see how it looks and let that make the decision.

On a serious note, are you actually going to be taking orders for these??? If so, what sort of $$$ would we be looking at???

I would really love a set of these for my 77 GS750 because even though it is not original, it really suits the era and character of these bikes!

PLEASE let us know if you are going to make them to sell, or not....

Fair few of us interested, if you can do them for the $50 or so that you said before then i am keen, plus postage of course.

Had you considered a belt buckle in brass? Wish I were near you to take a peek on how it's done. As a lad, I visited a small foundry in Kansas and watched them make small iron items in damp sand moulds. Interesting stuff.

I am interested in selling these. I will still do these for the $50+shipping which would be in a flat rate box.

Now the bad news. I will need $150 for the brass caps as they are much harder to cast and turn and they don't make brass beer cans.

I am willing to do other sizes but since they will need another pattern price will be comensorate. PM me if your interested.

Will you do some for 1100 16v? Really like the S logo in them.

I can try to make you a set for the 1100 if you send me an original. It will cost $100+ $5 shipping. If they are the rectangular caps I won't be able to turn the inside or outside so bear in mind the only machine work will be the face and may be a tad over sized on the outside dimension. At this point I will have to make sure I can make them before I can promise success. If that is an issue, I will refund your money.

I finally got some pictures of the process ya'll asked for. I've been using the big furnace to make ingots and then remelt what I need in the propane forge for casting the actual caps.

Final casting. The top one had a large shrink. It has to be redone.
