A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is to be used by folks who sell parts or services for GS series motorcycles regularly, or as a business.

If you are interested in providing parts and/or service to GSResource members it is expected that you will 1) keep customers informed on the status of their order, 2) you will reply to customer emails and PM's in a timely manner, 3) you provide what is agreed to in a timely manner. If personal circumstances prevent you from doing this, then you are expected to inform the customer before any transaction takes place. Failure to follow these basic business rules will force me to ban your forum account and list you in the Deadbeat forum.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Bill (Chef1366) Carb clean and Jetting review

Bill did two sets of 89 gsxr bst36ss slingshot carbs for my 82 GS1100E, and my dad's 83 GS1100E. These carbs are tricky and bill had them dialed in and was extremely helpful with all the questions i had, plus the price was very good.
Both bikes are now better in every way, it's very impressive how dialed in
he got these carbs. The bikes have stock engines with 4-1 Yoshimura exhausts with the k&n dual oval pods, he used the dynojet stage 3 kit jetted to perfection. Bill made these bikes so much more fun to ride, best guess is between 10-15 more horsepower and smoother acceleration all the way thru the rpm's, NO flat spots! Bill is the guy if you want it done right the first time, much appreciated Bill!

Thank you.

Bill did a carb set for my 1982 GS850GL with some mods. Connected them up and everything worked right out of the box. He changed the mains and raised the needle. Static sync was very close to vacuum sync. Good guy to deal with. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
