DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Brand new Ohlins SU143 shocks for GS1000's.

Chris,

I depends on how much you want to spend really. If $800 is in your budget and you want some track time I would say go for the SU145 because more adjustability is always better (I don't know how many of these are left so you may not be able to get them anyway). If on the other hand your budget is limited to $450 (I fall in this category) then go for the SU143's because they are an excellent shock for the price (I have the F bike equivalent to these, the HO140's, and I am very happy with them).

For reference, the SU143's are normally $800 give or take $50 depending on retailer, and the SU145's are normally around $1250, again give or take around $50.

So far I have not had a single complaint about the SU143's or the HO140's that I have sold - except for one guy that bought them for the wrong bike. So you really can't go wrong with the 143. About the only time that I would really recommend the 145 over the 143 is if you do vintage racing or track days on the bike - then I would say go for the 145 because you'd want the extra adjustability it offers.

Okay, I was going to send out the list today but I got a few late responses so I am extending it a day or two depending on how many stragglers are out there yet. If I don't get any more emails by tomorrow morning the order will go out and everybody that comes after that will have to wait until the next one - and as long as everything goes well, I see no reason why I won't do this again. Expect late March as the target for another order.

I've recieved a lot of thank you's and I really do appreciate that guys -you are all very welcome.

Well I picked the wrong time to stop checking this thread on a daily basis!!! Email sent on 1 pair of 143s. Hope I'm not too late!

Jim

I sent the list last night, but sent an updated list with your name on it this morning. Not sure if you made the cut or not though. If you didn't, you'll be on the next order around March.

So i didnt get an email, not to be completely dim, but that means im in the next bunch correct?

No, you are not the one who is dim, it must be me because I thought I sent confirmation emails to everyone and I must have forgot to send one to you. Sorry about that. Rest easy, you are on the list and Autumn will call or email you when she has your order ready. You wanted the HO shocks though and there was a long list for them so it may be a while before she gets to you.

I'll post updates in this thread as I get them and keep all of you in the loop as far as delivery status and such is concerned. Some of you may hear from Autumn before you hear from me again and if that happens just post in here so that other people know that the list is moving along.

I would post the list here, but due to the fact that I don't have everyone's screen name and real names sorted out, I don't want to do that because I know that some of you would rather not have that posted.

I missed you too? I just sent you an email, post up here if you didn't get it. Sorry about that.

Hey guys, I just thought I'd post an update to keep you all in your comfort zone...

I'm working several deals with Autumn right now and finally got in touch with her this morning. She has only a few of the SU143's in hand right now and 1 set of SU145's. I told her that the first person on the 145 list get's them so they will be getting a call hopefully soon.

I know all of you are anxious and I don't blame you but please be patient with us as this really is a side thing (for both of us) and thier primary focus at them moment is on the racers and getting them ready. I know that since Autumn is an accountant that it doesn't seem like she would have a big part in that, but she still has to go through sales and they are really swamped right now. It may be a little while, but the phone calls will come.

If, in the meantime, something changes and you can not complete the purchase, I ask that you contact me as soon as you know so I can remove you from the list. The last list I sent her was oversold and they are actually submitting numbers for production of another run next month. those of you that are over run are going on that list. I can't tell you who that is right now though.

Having said that, if you wanted to get on the March production list (and are not already on one of my lists) shoot me an email with the info requested in post #114 and I will add you to the list. Again, just so everybody is on the same page, you are not going to be charged for anything until you get the confirmation call from Ohlins.

Thanks Buddy. Always good to hear a word or two. No rush on my part and no worry about the money. I'm ok with all. The price is cool and I can wait for that deal. I'm sure we can all hang in for awhile.

Well, since I know you guys got a bad shake from some other shock guy in the past, it's good to hear a word or two from time to time to know that you haven't been forgotten.

Thanks long av8r. I got my shocks and they are a work of art! \\:D/

Here's a pic of them in the box. My bike is torn apart for swingarm and fork upgrades so it'll be a while before I have pics of them on the bike.
Here's the link

Sorry the pic is so small, just so you know these are SU 145s with preload, compression, rebound and ride height adjustments.

Yep, those are some nice shocks. I wish I could get some for my CB but they are nolonger available for the CB's... And you got the last set for the GS's.

I guess I'm out of the loop on these shocks. No biggie. Enjoy gang. Sure wish I could have got a set. I must have not been there for the call. I can't answer calls during business hours since I'm working. I figured I'd miss out on the deal again because of that and I'm ok with it and am going to go find a rebuilder for the shocks that I've got. I just thought the Ohlins would be real cool. I'll quit crying and say enjoy gang. :)

I did not get a call either

I did not get a call either

I provided my cell phone figuring they would leave a message . I'm assuming at this point I'm on the march list? 8-[

Posplayr:shock:

Yeah, I got an email saying I was on the first go-round list, but never got a phone call. I have caller ID that saves it, and voicemail, of course, and no message or call, or even any emails past the first one. Since March is half way done and I haven't heard, I'm guessing I'm SOL altogether.

Too bad. I've done Ohlins group buys for other bikes on other boards and it's not been difficult at all. I thought it might happen here this time. Oh well.
