Can't be that hard. It's just a push button timer that controls an elecrical switch or SCR. I bet Radio Shack has all the parts that I'll need.

Does anybody have any idea's or wiring diagrams.

Yea, I have schematics and software for the Command Center. :twisted:

I think your looking for something simple. First check your track to make sure they will allow you to use it. If it's a no box track, you can cheat but why bother?

Are you running a slider now? If not, what is your clutch set up?

The hard part is making a box that will allow you to cross over onto the other side of the tree. A box does all the math for you. All you have to do is punch in your et and your opponents et.

Every feature makes it a bit harder. If it's done in digital, cross over is not a big deal. It does freak out a lot of guys when you start punching in their data.

Jake, you may want to read my document on the CC and see what things your are interested in making the box do and jot them down. If you really just want a delay mode, it could be done very simple using RadioShack parts. Cost would be under $20 to build something with the box being the high dollar ticket. Like rosco15 said, if you want crossover it almost needs to go digital. The cost is going to go up because of the keypad and display.

You could bit the bullet and run the CC. Put my Polarbear code in it and you may be able to run your whole bike. :twisted:

My track switched to NHRA this year. All the other NHRA tracks run delay boxes in the bike class. Or so I'm told. I'm waiting to see if we make a change next year. I kind of like racing no box so I hope we don't.

None of the tracks in this area allow them on the bikes. Your luckey! Personally, if it's ET racing the name of the game is to remove as much human error as possible (if you want to win). I would automate the trigger and the throttle stops if I could 8). Just enter the time you want to run.

The only thing I forgot is that it need to be approved by IHRA or NHRA. That sort of kill's that idea to build one yourself. I do like the Deadenbear C02 crossover box for $250.

I would ask the people who run the track if you could use something home made. There are a lot of rules that you may not have to follow at a smaller track. Like your straping the front end down. While the rules say you can't, they still allow you to do it. If you are running an MRE air clutch lever (???) with a stock clutch (???) you may be able to just tune the release time using the solenoid adjustment. But, I think the rules talk about any device causing a delay.
