A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Rob is a stunt man. As such I am sure he will bounce back from this. He most likely sustained less injury than most would due to knowing how to fall properly (if there is such a thing in a case like this?). And we all know his skill with building and repairing bikes.

Yup my money is on a quick recovery and a fixed bike both in short order :D

crash

crash

Hi Rob, sorry to hear about your crash and hope you get well soon. I assume you were trailbraking? Does your bike feel like you need to trail brake to initiate a turn, especially sharp low speed turns like an intersection?

Hmm, sounded like the front washed to me. I could be wrong though.

Man that stinks! Glad to hear it wasn't too serious. Hopefully, you and the bike can be up and running quickly.

Get well soon, sorry it happened...

Were you trying to jump another 20 busses through the ring of fire? You have to stop trying that stunt man.....stunt man. 8)

and for me....

Glad to see your up and getting around. So I guess we can call you the one arm bandit for awhile :D . Just keep taken those pain killers cause there worth their weigh in gold when it's 3 o'clock in the morning.

Was it a low or high side thing.

Oh man! Take care and follow doctor's orders. Don't push your self beyond your limits and get better soon.

Hang in there, whats important is that you have no serious damage. The bike can always be fixed.

glad everything's working out,
take care, you know the drill!

I spoke with Rob last night on MSN. His arm fell off while we were chatting so he had to type one handed but other than that he seemed to be in good spirits

Very good newssssss,

The surgeon said he would fix it next friday. I was told it would be 4 to 6 weeks to get to surgery IF, IF anyone would fix it.

So I am on for next week and recovery will be cut in half. I am also receiving short term dissabillity payments from my union. Stunt guys get paid what every we do. ahhahahahahha

My wife rolled onto my shoulder last night at 4:36am...ahhhhhhhhhh, you know it.....our divouce will be finalized this week.. ahahhahah

anyone know what it is like to roll over and leave your shoulder behind???? I don't recomend it....hehehe.

It's all good boys, thanks for the words of encouragement... be back soon.

I've only broken 2 bones in my life - one was my collarbone. The doctor said it's the source of all my problems. Don't worry, you'll be ok.

in Canada the standard practice is not to fix them. They just let them heal on there own. After looking at my x-rays I wouldn't accept that. the two ends are overlapping by about 3 inches with one end poking up the top of my shoulder through the trap muscle.

The standard of care in Europe is to fix them but not here. Turns out the ortho I found was the best man at my neuro sergeons wedding. He took a few curshed disc's out of my back years ago. This guy specializes in clavicals and agrees with me that is should be fixed. Especially with my profession.

My humor isn't getting through tonight. Oh well.

Just kidding with ya' a bit Katman.

Questions. How fast did the front wash out? Any idea why it went? Mods related?

It's been 20 years since I did that little trick. I hope it's another 20.
