A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Then we will plan on hooking up early that afternoon.

I will email Mr. Milford to see if that is a fit for him too ..

Plan B = late lunch ?

Works for me. Great idea actually. Are you picking up the bike or just dropping off money for him to hold it or what?

did you have any problems getting your throttle to work correctly with the bar end mirror??

Not on MINE, but I know that sometimes you have to use a washer between the throttle sleve and the mirror bracket to keep it from sticking. Usually its the grip that prevents it from closing.

mostly look at it .. maybe give him some cash ..

may go back up on the 24 or 25th to get it ..

like to have your opinion .. anyone else close by .. that wants to tag along.

Im there bro. count me in. Working bike or not, I'll be there.

Nice bike Cafe Kid!
Are you planning to keep that exhaust hanger? I'm sure you can come up with something better! Maybe you can use a peace of metal strip to mount the exhaust hanger to the point where the footrest is mounted to the frame. That way your swingarm looks better to.
cheers,
Ed

No that exhaust hanger is temporary. Something pretty similar will likey have to be used, and i dont the the foot rest bracket will be a good position to mount one, simply because it almost runs in line with the bracket on the meg. Id have to use something pretty stout, which would add weight, which is a no no on this bike, as ive gone out of my way to eliminate as much weight as possible. However, I WILL do something that looks a lil more finished and professional.

Hi Cafe Kid,
The fact that it's almost in line with the bracket on the meg doesn't have to be a problem since you have two bolts at the footrest brackets. A simple piece of angled steel should do the trick.
Then again, it's your bike, and from seeing what you achieved so far i'm sure you will come up with a good solution.

Josh, why don't you get a piece of aluminum bar stock from home depot and run it from somewhere near the brake lever pivot. Lightweight, inexpensive and easy to shape.

I am a bone stock fanatic, BUT I like the look!
the seat design/fabric will make or break the look.
exhaust hanger billet or steel, holes drilled, black... UMMMMMMM!
matching pillion pegs? what ya think?
single speedo, small turn signal indicators?
swing arm needs sumthin' done. black/gold, design?

just filling your head.

Where are the pics? I no see them.

Josh, I'll take a couple pics of the hanger bracket I had to fab. Simple bracket that you can make out of 1" flat stock & it'l look damn near like it'd be a stock piece.
