A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

pirelli sounds like a winner to me. never been to a track day either to expensive. i agree the streets are good enough for me.

If your in the market for tyres that perform in the wet and dry, checkout "Search" for "Pirelli Sport Demons". Some good feedback from GSR riders, helped me make my next tyre selection, cheers.

Cafe seat looks great

The seat looks like it's coming along great. I bought a Dunstall seat and I am now trying to replicate it. I used expanding foam to make a mold of it. I can't wait to see more pics.

By the way, don't ever do the math on how much time you have in to a bike. It's very depressing.
Depends how you look at it. A few years ago I had a really bad run and got very depressed:(. The time I spend in the workshop is very therapeutic (seriously) and a damn sight cheaper than any therapist.\\:D/

Most of my free time I ain't wrenching (or some other hobby) I am most likely spending in front of the tube or at a bar. Both are pretty unproductive and one can get pretty expensive.

love the tail section, I hope to start working on one for my bike soon too, an as for the sport demons, I had those on a 500 once, and loved them.

Agreed there Zooks. I went thru a very self destructive time for a bit myself, and found that time completely alone with a project and my thoughts proved to be more therapeutic than that of any time spent talking to a psychoanalyst.

hm, for how long were you in the analysis?

Never. I wouldnt pay someone to do something one can do yourself, if you simply ask the questions that people generally refuse to ask themselves.

Do it yourself psychiatry, much easier and ultimately more cost effective than do it yourself dentistry.

Garage Therapy 101 - Spend time alone in the garage taking things apart, cleaning them, meticulously put the together... Your psyche has improved when you realize you have to put all your tools away. Sometimes, I do it in a few days, other times it takes me weeks, but I always feel like I've moved on from whatever was bothering me just about the time I feel like cleaning up my mess.

Just a thought, if I buy a Self Help Book to solve my problems, haven't I done exactly the opposite of what the books says? Unless I wrote it myself, wouldn't that be the same as getting help from someone else?

i dont know, i've heard analysts study the subject of human psyche for many many years
they also supposedly offer help of a kind that cannot be learnt from books - something like you wouldnt give a 5 year old kid just a bunch of books and expect them to get on with their lives independently just by reading those books - the practical guidance from those who are more experienced in knowledge of the life-issues is irreplacable (like parents, grandparents, caregivers, teachers, etc)
