thanks

also, how can i tell which pilot jet size i need from Z1? a few of mine are a little chewed up on top.

another novice question....after reading through some old posts, i'm confused about the pilot jets. when re-installing them after cleaning, do i screw them in and then loosen them a few turns?

I saw the title and thought, "he's crazy. He wants to use the cams from a 900cc Kawasaki in his Suzuki 750?"

Then I read the message and sorta understood. Yeah, the CAM END PLUGS from Z1 ENTERPRISES will work just fine.

Just for clarification, what are you calling "pilot jets"? The pilot AIR jets are in the intake throat area (in the 8 o'clock posiiton) of the carb and get instered snugly. The pilot FUEL jets are down in the bottom of the carb, in the float bowl area, right next to the main jet, and under a rubber plug. They also get installed snugly. Maybe you are asking about the IDLE MIXTURE ADJUSTMENT SCREW? They will get seated lightly, then backed out between 2 and 3 full turns as a starting point. When the bike is warmed up, you will turn each of them slowly, listening for highest engine speed.

thanks for the clarification.

i was referring to the Pilot Fuel Jets. i fit them back in snugly, but then got confused when reading some old posts. i will leave them in their place!

Yep, the idle mixture adjustment screws are the only things that do NOT get put in snugly when assembling the BS carbs.

On the VM carbs, it's the pilot fuel screw (bottom) and pilot air screw (side) that are left loose, everything else gets snugged down.
