A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

For whatever reason my bike did not have a center stand when I bought it. I was wondering where I could buy one or would I have to search for junk bikes?

The first thing to try is go to the wanted section of this site. Put in WANTED, center stand for your model 650G, also look thro the parts for sale section, then e-bay, then junk yard.

My guess on it's removal would be that an aftermarket exhaust was installed and negated the use of the centerstand. Do what has been suggested on getting a replacement. If that is a dead end, see if you can't get a new one (though it'll probably cost a bit of $).

It does have the kerger(sp?) 4 to 1 exhaust on it. Does that mean it can't have the center stand?

have a 82? gs750 tscc model i am parting out. don't know if the center stand will work, but you're welcome to it for shipping costs.

I cna't say for sure if the Kerker exhaust could be a problem. It has to do with where the pipe position is below the bike. My 750 had a Kerker megaphone system, but also had a workable center stand. It's always possible that the previous owner/s felt it was excess weight and removed the center stand.

Retain the center stand with a 4 into 1 is about a 50% 50%, some do some don't. The center stand is very handy to have, even if you can't leave it on the bike. My KZ1300 Kaw has a 6 into 1 & I can't retain the stand. I have it there & bolt it on to change oil, change tires & do maintenance

I've got a GS1000E with a Motad 4-1 and it's still got the centre stand on. My GS(X)1100E had a 4-1 race exhaust and you couldn't fit the centre stand without it fouling the link pipe.

Guy's remove the centre stand for ground clearance with a 4-1 also....

Like others have said, some yes some no. My GS700 came with a header & no stand. paintmann111, if you look under the bike where the frame tabs for the stand are located you will have a better idea on whether or not one can be reinstalled. The offer from saddlewarmer is a great one, may want to grab it just in case!

On mine it's quite obvious....NO. The pipe is a total PITA. You have to drop it to change the oil :-s . Total BS. Nice design work Kerker!

Since I am still at college until next week I cannot view my bike:cry: as it is 600 miles away. However this is the best picture I have at the moment.

It seems as though it may fit, however the only part I am worried about is where it starts to expand. The foot of the center stand may hit, or it may not.
