    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Excelent!

This will be very helpful.
Could you do one for the early 550 with the single fuse and separate regulator and rectifier?

It is not the same through 1982.

Sorry, I've been away from the site for a while. A lot of catching up to do.
I have a new computer and don't have it set up to do any graphics yet.
And it may be a while longer before I can get back into making diagrams.

old_skool, it's a tedious process making the colored wire with traces.
I've tried it in Paint.NET and GIMP, but Photoshop makes it a bit easier.
That may be due to me being more accustomed to Photoshop.

Actually, I found a couple programs, takes a little bit to learn how to navigate them, but I'm using one of three, SmartDraw, EDraw, and I think my favorite, Microsoft Office Visio.
Try the Demo of Smart Draw, you might like it. I've got full versions of all 3, a little more bells and whistles:-\\\

old_skool,
Have you tried using Splan by Abacom. It is actually for drawing electronic cct diagrams, but has great wire colour features and you can easily draw any wire colour with any colour traces and thickness except a white wire.

Nope, never heard of it before, I'll look into it though, kind of a puter geek so I can never have too much software:rolleyes:

You want Splan 7.0.
I had quite a few of the standard bike schematic symbols drawn up in a motorcycle library which I lost during an upgrade unfortunately and have not had the motivation to redo them.

I just wanted to express my thanks. Because of these diagrams i was able to correct/solve P.O. wring problems and repair my turn signals/horn.

I'm finding that instead of being consistent with the owners manual, my GS750T was wired as a GS750E.

I'm back and I'd like to start making diagrams again, if anyone has requests.

Just realized that the links were down. There all fixed now. I guess I let my hosting dues lapse a bit. Now we're good for another year.

Hiya, just a quick suggestion if you're still on Linux: check out Inkscape. It's a vector graphics editor. Should be much easier for making diagrams than a bitmap editor like GIMP.

I'm dual booting. I've played with Inkscape in the past, but only briefly.
Next time I boot into Linux I'll see about making a sample diagram with Inkscape.
I found a way to run PS in Wine and it runs very stable, so no issue there, either.

Incredible. I have a 12/77 GS750 that I want to wire an Acewell gauge to the bike. I am hoping that the 78GS diagram is the right one. Thank you for all the effort in these diagrams.

hello everybody,

i had a question about some of the colored wiring scheme's for the gs750.
i saw that some where modified so they have relay's in it? why is that? i have no idea what that would do! can someone please explain me that... regards Jurgen

Is there a way to download one for I can read it better? On a tablet..

Have you done one for the '81 gs1100e yet or am I just not seeing it? :D
