All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I thought my Honda 750 had an oil tank behind the side cover. It's been near 40 years, so I may be thinking of something else.

"Yew just supplie me with sum saws all blades and sum guud beer and I'll git er done" Haha
Would be nice if he showed some examples of the bikes he built.
He cant get it running but he will bolt a bunch of crap onto it. Sounds like he plans on welding on a tail hoop, putting on a pre made cafe seat and some other bolt ons and trying to make some money. We all know that to tear a bike down to the frame and properly do a proper resto mod costs that much in parts and paint alone, not counting the months of hours we put into these stupid bikes. I can't imagine this "builder" paying as much attention to detail as we do.

So for a grand you get his expertise in custom installation, but I assume not the actual custom parts themselves.

"If there are mechanical issues I am not your guy"

Ah, the fresh air of honesty. Although for a grand the custom paint probably comes with the tell-tale sound of the rattle, does it not?

He doesn't state that he's ever built a 'cafee bike" before. Only that he has "experiance". At something. But he probably looked at a few of the chop jobs on the Craigslist and recognized an opportunity to separate fools from their money.

From my own neighborhood, this 1986 Goldwing owner feels it runs fine and is a good deal at $1400. Lets go to the replay, shall we?

"Great running bike...it's old..it needs a good cleaning..but everything works and it runs better than most bikes...I would ride this bike anywhere....it jumps out of 4th when you put the throttle on...it will do fine in 4th for slowing down...it usually bypass 4th while starting out...great price for a good running bike..."

Runs great. Just doesn't drive worth a damn. lol.

How do you jack up the 4th gear on a GW?!?

but it comes with parts bike for "free"! That seat makes it look like its being ridden by a giant cockroach. :eek-new:

Virtually every ad like this has the same phrase in it; the carbs need adjusting. How is it you spend hours doing the hack job but find no time to finish the carbs? Sheesh!

"Over the last 2 years I have ripped the bike apart..."

Yes you did.
